NW Sask, Canada | I have a 2005 C-15 cat in W900 Kenworth that will not build air pressure. Its minus 20 celcius here today, so suspect something may be frozen? Worked fine yesterday. Today I can hear the compressor running, but pressure does not build. Anyone have a similar experience?

If the relief is not popping, I'd take the air line from the compressor off, and put a couple oz ,of air line antifreeze in the line feel under the air dryer for a leak !!

Yep, maybe the purge valve is stuck (letting air escape), and you might need to push it upward.

ecmn | Is it building any at all? Either frozen air dryer or the air governor is shot.

ECIL | I have experienced similar problem on semis before. A few times I have disconnected and pulled off air dryer and put in front of heater to thaw water ran out once it warmed up. Reinstall and air pressure builds.

WCWI | Pull line off air comp and make sure compressor is pumping air if so put air line anti freeze in. Once you get it goin when your done park it in a heated shop over night and drain your air tanks then drain them daily when in use or will keep happening

NW Sask, Canada | Thanks for all the responses. I will give them a try tomorrow. And to answer one thread, it is not building any pressure at all.

Claremont,MN | It is most likely a dozen air dryer. Check for power between the two wires going to the air dryer if thier is power you need a new heating element for your air dryer. If the heating element is bad you can replace just that but it probably time to do the descant filter also or just get a new dryer altogether.

MN | I've had to do both governor and air dryer in mine. Governor is easy and cheap to replace, dryer a bit more spendy and work.

NW Sask, Canada | just watched a you tube video that described my problem exactly. Pretty sure my purge valve on air dryer is stuck open.
