I'm still in the market for a used skid steer.
Local case dealer that we do almost all of our business with has an 04' with 4200 hours on it. It spent its life on a dairy so comsetically it was a touch rough. I didn't think it looked too bad mysef but they are painting it, new decals, and new seat on it. I haven't looked it over close yet but I trust this salesman and he said it looks like a tight unit.

I want to stick with Case because of dealer support and hand controls are a must for me. I don't expect to put a lot of hours on the machine. Main jobs will be pushing/piling turkey litter and moving snow. (I know I will find a lot more jobs for it)

My budget is under 15k.
What is the 75xt worth?

Not sure how much there worth, maybe tractor house search would help find a high/ low value. A buddy a of mine has a 01 75xt with with a little over 13,000 hrs,has just needed lots of shocks to assist with the cab lift for servicing. It has needed a pair of drive motors and now is needing a few hoses to be replaced. Skid steer is on a dairy/ grain farm, it has been a awesome machine.

A 75XT is one of Case's best models, IMO.

Good luck!

Dealer has it priced for 14900 and sounded like there was some room to work.
Supposed to be done being painted by end of week so I can check it out.

Case skid steers are great machines. Our 1840 had 6,000 hours. Traded it for a 85XT with 1,200 hours. Currently has 3,500 hours on it. Both machines have been trouble free machines used on our dairy farm. Ask if you can demo/rent it for a day. Gives you some peace of mind when making your purchase.

I looked at a 440 a few months back and salesman said he wanted me to take it home and run it for a few days before he would sell it to me. He knows it's my first skid steer purchase.
