VA | Liquid supplements for brood cows withe 1 to 3 month calves nursing? Looking for something to extend hay and keep calves growing will this do it? Also what protein range would uou choose for brood cows ? They offer 14 to 41 |

Northern Minnesota | I have used Mol Mix, but wouldn't use it "to extend hay". It will increase consumption of poor quality forages, especially if poured on, and improve digestibility.
What is the protein of the current diet?
If you are short on hay (dry matter), purchasing more might be the best choice over a liquid supplement...... |

VA | Current protein is about 16 to 17 percent. It's not necessarily poor quality just don't quite have enough if winter isn't too rough and this would be going in a lick tank don't know if that would make a difference |

Northern Minnesota | Current protein is adequate and at that level the TDN (energy) is most likely fine too so I see no advantage for the supplement. Also, compare the price of a pound of (even) 10% CP hay with a pound of the supplement and I think the decision will be easy! In my opinion. |

Allen County, Kentucky | Tried it a couple of winters and was not impressed. I spend that money on 50/50 mix of corn gluten/soy hull mix now and seems like better results. |

N FLA | Definitely a culture of liquid supplement around here. I would say test your hay and figure out the most economical way to do what you need to do. I doubt liquid feed is it though. |
