THESE 2 TRACTORS SIDE BY SIDE SEEM TO BE THE SAME
1. SAME PLANT BUILDS THEM
2. CABS LOOK THE SAME
3. SAME HP
4. ETC ETC.
CAN ANYONE SORT OUT IF THERE ARE ANY SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCES
I DO KNOW THE MAGNUM IS 29,600 WITH NO BALLESTING AND THE NH IS 28230 WITH 1400 REAR WEIGHT
WHY THE WEIGHT ADVANTAGE WITH CASE, IS IT THE FRAME, THE EXTRA DROP BOX BEHIND THE ENGINE
IS IT A WEIGHT MEANS POWER SENARIO
HOW ABOUT THE TURNING RADIOUS, CAN I TURN SHORTER WITH CASE?
CASE IH WHEEL BASE IS 120 AND NH 136
CASE IH LENGTH 247 NH 251

Pressure Flow Compensated is the same as Load sensing. Both systems are Closed Center.

While unrelated to these specific tractors, Pressure Compensated hydraulics are different than Load sensing hydraulics as the load se sing hydraulics account for flow and pressure.

I am told somewhere around 60% the same.....not sure what the 40% difference is?........I have a T8.410 and really like it....rented a CaseIH 315 and didn't like it.......to me the NH seems more user friendly......had a T8.360 before and it was suppose to be the same as the 315 but it seems to pull better and have more hp......but could just be me...but I like the blue one better and got a little better lease deal........

I WENT TO THE CASE IH COMPARE DROP DOWN AND PUT IN A CASE IH 340 MAGNUM AND A T8.410, LINE FOR LINE IT WAS A MATCH. THE T8.390 IS OLDER? OR WHAT

I just traded a CIH 235 for a T8.300. I like the blue one better, but I miss having the throttle in the gear shift handle. The blue one seems to ride better.

If I was going up to the hp you are looking at, I would look at getting a T9 or the CIH equivalent. I have one and it sure puts the hp to the ground better than a MFWD.

Either one is NICE!

Which color is your best dealer?

T8.390 is older Tier4A. T8.410 is newer and Tier4B. Magnum 340 is available in Tier4A and Tier4B.

Differences between red and blue? Front frame, front weights, cooling pack, intake and exhaust tubing/routing, armrest, hood, some cab trim, lights, and color.

Engine, trans, axles, hydraulics, software all the same.

I SEE THE WHEEL BASE AND TOTAL LENGTH OF THE 2 TRACTORS IS DIFFIERNT
DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE TURNING RADIUS OF EITHER

LOOKS LIKE CASE IH MIGHT BE SHORTER DUE TO SHORTER WHEEL BASE?

I think the wheelbase is why the NH was a smoother ride in the field. I don't know that the difference was enough to write home about.

Went from a MX305 to a T8.390. Yes wheelbase is longer, ride smoother. No noticeable difference in turning radius. For what we use it for, we have actually have come to slightly prefer the controls for the blue over the red. For larger horsepower usage, we usually are leaving the throttle set. Thus, at times it is nice that the handle does not move as we shift gears or use remotes on the handle. Not really a big difference. FWIW, we switched for 2 reasons, one was lower upfront $$$$, and two was better service. I understand when lower resale is brought up. Two points we consider. First, resale not as much difference as in past. Second, why let someone else use the money until we sell.

I don't think there's any performance differences. Mainly different due to the blue having a longer front frame so the tubing has to be slightly longer, I think. Might be shaped a bit different to fit under the different hoods as well.
