We have a new to us 2009 R76 Gleaner Combine with the Fieldstar 2 system in it. We do not like the yield monitor and yield recording, but it does not have autosteer. Does the R76 have autosteer built into it, was it an option, or how would we go about getting autosteer on this combine? Thanks

I looked on Ag Leader's site and they do have a Steer Command for Steer Ready R76. They do not list a valve for the Steer Command, however they do list one under the Paradyme kits. Most machines in most brands were steer ready after 2007.

If you purchased either an AGI-4 or AG3000 receiver you should be able to run the ISO steering if it is steer ready. If not, you will need the steering valve and switch also. I would personally go the Topcon AGI-4 route as it leaves you with the maximum flexibility to use on other machines. Topcon also now have a swap-out kit where you can replace the AGCO screen with an X30 and do all functions in one screen, including X30 guidance as opposed to ISO guidance Far more user friendly in my opinion.

What model year did AGCO start supporting ISO steering? How far back will AG3000 work on steer ready machines?

Is there a different monitor that would keep the functions now (engine load mainly) that would autosteer and yield map?

I'm just a farmer too, so don't hold me too it but I think the ISO steering will work on a C2000 terminal? Certainly it works on the new C2100. On our previous combine (9790) with the C2000 we used ISO based steering with the Beeline B4 Topdock, so I'm assuming the C2000 should work. As I said before, I'd personally go with the AGI-4 over the C3000 as it has more options to work with other machines and you can add an X14/25/30 screen to it and have many alternative uses for it.

We have just started using Topcon's AGCO swapout kit for the X30 that will autosteer and yield map, as well as load the combine page almost exactly as it appeared on the C2000 or C2100. . Seems great so far. Pretty sure it will work on any AGCO machine with Fieldstar II. You will also need an AGI-4 or AG3000 receiver

Just bite the bullet and put agleader yield monitor in. We did and couldn't be happier. Left a c2100 in the cab to monitor engine performance, and have an Integra right beside it for mapping and steering.

We put one in a 2010 R76 a year ago. Your 2009 is probably not steer ready, ours isn't. If you have lateral tilt, there will be one electrohydraulic valve under the right front corner of the cab. If it is steer ready, then there will be another valve under the cab also. I'm a little fuzzy on the prices, but I can get you close. The combine kit will be about $3400, probably can't find anything used. We are using a 6000 receiver from AL, and I think it was about $1000. If you continue to run the agco display, you could use a used insight for mapping and they are probably in the $2000 neighborhood. If you want steering also you will need an Integra and new list on them is $5400, but there is a new screen coming out from Agleader, so you will probably be able to start finding used integras pretty quick for less than $3000. For steering, we use an Ontrac 3, I don't remember that price, but I do know the transfer kit was $1000. We have the OT3 installed in a tractor, and the kit allows us to pull the steer motor and control box from the tractor and slide right into the combine. One final note, dealers in our area wanted nearly $1000 to install the yield monitor--save your money and do it yourself. It really isn't near as bad as it looks from the start. Be glad to answer any other questions that you might have.

Ag Leader provides excellent documentation on installing hardware on your own. They also have excellent "free" phone support if you get stuck during the install process.

The install manuals are all publicly available on their knowledgebase website. If you are uncertain of what is involved, you can download the PDF and read through it before you purchase anything.

There is nothing wrong with having a dealer install the hardware for you, however if you have time, I would encourage you to try the install yourself.

Snowcone is right.

If you have Fieldstar 2 already and are happy with how the yield sensors are working, all you need is an X30, AGI4 (if steer ready) and Yield Trakker.

If there is a bulkhead connector on the roof, its steer ready. AGI4 snaps on the roof bracket (another indicator) and plugs in to the roof connector.

X30 will plug in to existing cab harness and we can pull the yield information off the can bus of AGCO machines. If you are not happy with current performance or don't have sensors all together, you can get the universal kit and install the sensors. I've seen and done both.

There are refurbished X30s available for a reasonable price. Can get an AGI4 ready to go for an AGCO steer ready vehicle for around $4K. I think yield kit for CanBus is $1500 and just plugs in to the existing cab harnessing.

This would be the easiest and highest value installation you could do. You could easily upgrade to Ominstar or RTK with a clip in module that goes in the AGI4 on the roof. All you would have in the cab was the X30 display that would steer and run Yield Trakker to do yield mapping on the X30 and you would have your combine ISO screen displayed with all your functions there.

Shoot me an email if you have questions.
