Geringhoff corn recommended RPM

Subject: Geringhoff corn recommended RPM


MN		What does Geringhoff recommend to run their rotodisc corn head at for rpm? I have the little monitor in the cab that tells me shaft speed along with deck plate position.

Service line is busy.

MN		750 to 780 is what gerringhoff called me back with.

I run the NS at 620 to reduce butt shelling

west central MN		Running 620 here at 5 mph. If going slower, I turn it down

Northeastern Pa		I'm at 500. Replaced crown gears to slow it down. To much but shelling in dryer corn. This is on a roto disc

red river valley se of fargo		Hmmmm, I'll have to play with mine a little. We haven't started corn yet but if I recall correctly, we were running around 900 rpm, ground speed 6-6.5 mph.
