Been having issues with our 8370rt. The transmission wants to lock up when you are sitting still with the tractor in gear and the clutch our brake pressed. It doesn't throw any codes and the only way to get it back into gear is to shut it down and do a restart. Kind of a pain when you are filling a semi with the cart and go to move ahead and you can't. Anyone have this problem our have any ideas.

Does it just say P on the corner post and that's it? No codes or anything? I have a 370r that does the same thing.

Had an 8430 and an 8345rt that were both IVT that did the same thing. Complained about both of them, never got an honest answer to the problem. Deere said it was something to do with the transmission sensing varying loads from the cart and constantly trying to adjust and eventually recalibrating, though usually unsuccessfully.

Roaming
On the IVts we always use F1 dialed all the way down then between moving just drop the tractor into neutral when sitting to make a pile. Very rarely do we use the clutch except for hooking up to equipment.

Yeah when it happens the corner post says P but no matter where you move the shifter it doesn't change. Also I can steer the tracks when it is locked up when normally in park you can't steer it. No codes is the weird part and also what is making it hard to diagnose.

We just got a code with ours today. Transmission calibration failure. Wouldn't let tractor move period. Called dealer. They did some checking and it's a problem many are having with the new 8rs. Supposedly there are a lot of detach cases right now with the same code we got and symptoms that you and I and others here describe.
