Nebraska Panhandle
What's the biggest pickup you have put a tow bar on to pull behind equipment to the field. All 3/4 or 1 ton pickups here and don't know if I could or should attempt it. Pics appreciated

Caraway, AR

Back in the 80's I had a 1 Ton truck with a TB on it. Pulled it mostly with a tractor, but occasionally with a 1/2 ton.  kept it off main roads.
Your pulling vehicle needs to be the bigger of the two.

We have one on a ¾ ton truck. I was pulling the chisel plow to the field back in the 80's and ran out of gas. I walked to the field, got the tractor and pulled the truck and chisel about 2 miles. Works fine. Also have one that will pin to whatever you put brackets on. It has been used twice to pull a single axle grain truck home. Once about 15 miles empty, and once 2 miles with 350 bushels of corn.

I purchased a Towmaster Off road Tow Bar it's plenty strong enough .. they sell kits to hook up your brakes and hook up the brake and tail lights

I thought these were rated for more ### than 6,000 they have electric bake systems ect for the towed vehicle

We pull a Ford F350 Dually with a loaded flatbed of tools and compressor around with one of those Red Dragon tow hitches. Must make sure you mount it beefy to vehicle.

I pull 2002 f250 automatic. I unbolted tow hooks and mounted bracket to it. Pulls fine but was wondering what about transmission? I leave it running to lubricate it. Is that necessary? I'll try to get pics sometime.

Near-north Ontario, French River
The custom harvest crew for the local veggy processor have a sweet shop truck, I believe its a Freightliner FL70class truck, that they pull behind their dump cart when moving from field to field. Fully outfitted shop truck, not much they can't fix in the field, probably close to 30k pounds when loaded with fuel. Been pulling their shop trucks around southern Ontario for years and never had any problems. They do leave it running when towing, I assume to lube the tranny and keep batteries up. Having seen their set up I wouldn't blink twice pulling a 3/4 or 1 ton around, as long as you have a good strong hitch, and safety chains.

edit... to correct model of truck

Looking at one of these hitches for my f250, but it weights 8500 lbs without anything in the back end. Is this hitch beefy enough to last pushing my rig around. Could I dare pull the pickup and the fuel trailer

If you are going to pull a fuel trailer as well, I would say...prob not.
Lot of guys have them around my area.
3/4 tons, 1 tons hook to tractor, disk, etc and go.
Heck I have seen 4wheel drive tractor, Vblade, NH3 tank, and then the pickup
Keep in mind you are not going but 20 mph with this hitch. This is not made to go 75 mph down the highway behind another pickup.

I did the same thing with a 1993 Chevy K3500. Red Dragon lasted 5 minutes before it was pretzel shaped.
