How tight can the pin be in this style of hitch? We're in terraced country and pull through low water crossings several places. Should I be worried about putting a bind on it and breaking something?

Thanks

We put a bull pull hitch on our J&m 1050 when factory hitch was worn out.

South East SD
Centeral City Scale in Nebraska makes a ball and socket hitch for grain carts with scales on the hitch. I got one and really like it sure took the slap out of the drawbar.

That's a 2" pin for the Cat 4 drawbar. Just get a bit smaller pin, 1 3/4 or maybe 1 1/2 ".
Think about a poly cushion on top of drawbar, saves wear all around.

My cart book has a recommended pin size and a listing of the different bushings required for each pin size. Mines not quite that tight.

Like the looks of that set up but I don't see one that will work with the scale pin.

Thanks

Your problem is that the pin is an import from one of those cheap labor foreign countries where they talk funny, eh.

Looking at their pin sizes for 40 deg oscillation, your pin is too big.

Does Black Ace make the adaptor or is that homemade?

Bull pull hitches are very nice but ours is a royal pain in the back side to get the pin in if your by yourself but I would gladly do it to keep that hitch on our bailer but we had to add a spacer on top to fill up about half the room that was left or it would jump up and down all day long

I really like that. I've always wanted to adjust my hitch up a little more too. Did you get the adapter from them?

Ok I talked to black ace today and they said they had an adapter for a 2.5 in. weigh pin but the 3 in. version was still being tested. Is yours a 2.5 in. pin?
