Northwest Ohio | What is the good bad and ugly with these sprayers? Would just be used for a small -500acre farm mostly roundup for beans. Is the 4 wheeled that much better than the older 3 wheeled ones? What might need to be looked at in the 3000 hour range? Any feedback appreciated. Thanks,

Morris, IL | I got a 6500 this spring, really have come to like it. Nimble and light weight. I have three wheel so I can run VT corn if wanted. Beside that I can't see where 4 wheel wouldn't be better. Email works if you want more information, we are similar smaller operation. Eastern Shore of MD | We had both before purchasing a larger machine. I thought the 4 wheel 6700 was a big improvement in terms of ride. The 3 wheelers are ok but it can get a little hairy on uneven ground. Personally I would get the 6700 if your budget allows. The only real issue that I remember is the solution pump throwing off belts with some regularity.

2 mi west of Al | We used to run one and liked it. Was light and easy to get around. Perfect for smaller acreage. I know where a low hour one is if interested. Email is good.

Farmington, Mo | I have run a 6500 for the past 7 seasons. As the previous posters indicated the 65/6700 unit is nimble and lightweight and fairly simple to work on and diagnose as far as problems go. However, they ride very rough due to no rear suspension. The weight distribution is at least 70/30 on the rear if not more which is what it needs for traction but can cause some issues in muddy conditions...esspecially with the standard tank. Bottoming out is not fun...don't ask how I know. The booms are decent but the cable fold system is a little weak. If you get one, here are a few suggestions: Get a set of wide tires for the rear if you plan on spraying any burn down early in the season. This will help keep it on top I would get the four wheeler for stability and only two tracks in narrow row beans instead of three. Look at the frame just below the cab where it makes the transition down the the engine...it's a weak point and is known to crack. All in all I would drive one over a spracoup....better visibility and stability. It has served us well but we have outgrown ours. Look in classifieds, I know of a couple 6500 there. 6700 is pretty much the same with more electronics. Email is good if you have more Q's

Tank capacity is around 420 gallon,They do less damage to the crop and less compaction. Not good in wet conditions but if you plant 12 or 24 rows the planter tracks help.Wide front is fine just cant spray tall corn.Simple sprayer that is easy to run.We now have a Hagie 1000 gallon DTS10 which works fine just needs more maintanence and with boom in front chemicals are hard on paint and can leave wheel tracks.

EC IL | A lil more power in the 6700 over the 6500 and they extended the front end which gave a nicer ride. I had the 3 wheeled version and it was an excellent nimble machine, just not over powered and not for large acreage.

I had 6000 great sprayer. I also had a 6500 that thing was not worth 4 times a 6000 total pos. Get a 3185 I like that thing

middle Georgia | I have a 6700 with 4000 hours bought used with 3800 hours and I love it, went from a pull type to this machine, no problems with motor or hydrostat (nock on wood) my booms are my biggest complaint because previous owner patched it instead of fixing it correctly when something broke

Dublin, MS | We have had one for 10 years now. Ours is spraying 3-4 days a week all summer here. Probably over 20,000 acres a year. We are really good at rebuilding pump and have an extra so no down time. Look it over good for cracks, have them welded up by a good welder. Ours has T tank, not to hard to slide out after you do it a few times. It's been a really low cost machine for us, if we had another 300 acres of cotton I would need larger capacity. ours doesn't go thru mud, if it's wet the plane sprays. Great machine. Low cost.

Dearfield Co. | Can the 3 wheel be converted easy to a 4 wheel sprayer??

Morris, IL | Probably but not cheap i'd guess and not super easy i'd guess but doable one time. Maybe see if you can find someone that wants 3 wheel for clearance. If you look a 4 wheel sprayer actually has a longer hood, not sure on the steering works. Looks like 6700 hood stays the same, really that would be nice improvement as 6500 is very tight up near the front. Battery, air filter, and radiator and just not enough room to work on them and result is radiator fins all flat like mine.
