Anyone else having problems with their e series skidsteers. I have a 328 e skidsteer that we use as a paper weight. It has joystick controls, and is so jerky, nobody will use it. Our dealer has been out several times, but there is nothing they can do. Deere keeps sayin nothing wrong, but are supposed to be coming out with new joysticks. I've heard this for 6 months. Not to mention compared to my 328 d's it's extremely gutless. I wish I woulda never bought it. Just wondering if anyone else has the same experience.

Had a rental 328E this spring and was the same as you describe. The controls were very jerky and adjusting the sensitivity didn't seem to make any difference. This one had the selectable controls and it didn't matter if you used hand or hand/foot a guy couldn't do anything smooth. And yes it was gutless. I took it out to pick some rock and fill in some washouts and it couldn't hardly move in the field with a bucket of dirt. The field wasn't that soft because I drove most of the way across pulling it on a trailer with my pickup. My experience with it damn sure didnt make me want to own one.

Have a 328E and a 326E havent had any problems. We do snow removal in winter months and they are jerky when you fire them up and hydralic oil is cold other than that not jerky at all when they warm up after a few minutes I'm surgical with that thing! Power? Well I can't say much there we very seldom do any dirt work with them just snow and lifting spray shuttles, and they seem to have more than enough power we run a 8 foot snow push and 8 ft snow bucket never power out.

Nephew has a asphalt company, he had New Hollands. Bought 2 new Deere. I used one to clean up trees and roots from 10 old cotton wood trees and brush in a fence line. It had cab with AC. Got done that day and I felt like I had welding eyes from the dust that must of gotten in! Cab must not have been that tight. It had foot controls and they/all font controls don't work for me. It had all the power I needed? It wasn't long and he got rid of them and went back to New Hollands.

Do you have both the foot and hand controls? The don't work that great but the joy stick only ones are awesome . I own one Deere 323E one NH 225 and three NH 185B's. The NH 225 will be replaced in a few months with a Deere 328E . The NH 225 is broke down a lot ,the NH 185's are good machines but the hired help always want to use the Deere. I don't tell them what one to use I just say go clean the pens they always have some reason they need to use the Deere.... Dennis

It's hard to beat a cat skid steer. It's the trading that doesn't work too well.

I have almost two thousand hours on one and it's everyone's favorite loader to run. I think they are less jerky than the new bobcat that we have. Both have electric controls to switch between hand foot and iso

Yeah I believe that the 200's Nh suck. And if they are pilot controls, they are impossible to drive.

I'm wondering if all Deere skids act differently. I drove one I really liked, one I hated. Depends what day they make them. With so many good Deere dealers in area, great resale. Most will be gravitating to the Deere for service. Deere is the future of skids and farm equipment.

I demoed a Deere 320E with the electric joysticks and they were more jerky than I liked... Bought 2 plain 320E with foot controls and they have been great machines. Replaced a couple NH L220s which were lemons.

Mine are strictly joystick. I won't let my employees scrape barns with it for fear of wrecking something. local bobcat dealers have several of these in the lot they traded in that they can't get rid of. Maybe my area got a bad batch. I've never owned a piece of john Deere equipment that I've hated this much.

X3 they suck.

None of the L200s have Pilots, manual or EH controls. Guessing you meant EH by pilot though. Pilots use hydraulics and response/feel is better but they've been ditched by almost all of the OEMs for EH.

They weren't lemons, they were L200 series NH skids.

we got a new 326e a couple weeks ago to replace our 260. we like it a lot its a bigger machine as well. haven't really put it to any tests but it seems to have enough power. my only question is yesterday it just started to "clean the exhaust filter" how long does that last that it runs at 1800 rpm trying to burn off the carbon? seems to me like it has taken a fair amount of time in this mode. it only runs constant for about an hour or hour and a half to face down feed in the morning. then short run times the rest of the day to do little jobs around the farm. maybe only 3 or 4 hours a day we put on it.

We got a 333e. Lots of power and smooth. What I don't like is what they cost. E motors way better than the d it replaced.

Hopped on one last year and thought it was a nice machine. I don't run skidbobs very often but had to do some delicate stuff (so no full throttle) and it seemed ok.

For the NH L200s with EH controls there's been a software update for nearly two years that make those early machines nice to drive.
