I dont know anything about these so any help is appreciated. Also what all can I do with this monitor without getting anything else right now? thanks

you'll need a universal tractor harness.   part no. 87592009.    I think.

The pro 600 runs the entire planter on our 1240. You can't plant or even use the hydraulic function if it it not hooked up and working. Get ready for a major learning curve if you have not been arround the pro 600.

I bought a 1240 planter with a pro 600, wish I had my kinze back. I have a electrical problem about every two to three days. I am about to pull my hair out, it might plant or quit at any time. Wilson

Same deal here. I was ready to throw the key in and walk away last year. One issue after another.

I have had one for 5 years and have had really good luck with it as for electronics and stuff. They are not that hard to run either. They look hard to run but are not that bad.

This planter was owned by a NAT farmer and his cousin, the mechanic said he might have gone out twice for service calls. It blew the tread off a tire and pulled some of the harness off. They spent over $4000 in repairs. That should of told me something, plants great when it is working. Wilson

We have the harness from case and also bought another harness from ag express electronics. Iwould get the one from ag express, cheaper than case and very good quality.

What electrical issues are you guys having? When we first got ours it was hooked to our MX270 with a universal harness and had no issues. Then we got a 225 Magnum and every once and a while it would throw MCU, MIU, ECO electrical faults. Figured it was something in the tractor side as it worked find on the 270. Found the 2 fuse blocks were corroded. Cut them out and put new ones in and haven't had an issue since.

The planter is quite sensitive to the 12V supply it seems. The 1200 planter is an excellent planter and you should have no problems with the Pro600 monitor. It took me a few days to get it all figured out but it will give you all the info you need while planting.

Besides operating the planter you could use it as the yield monitor in a red combine if it already was set up for the Pro 600 or Universal Display or UDP. You could also do swath mapping with other implements but you would have to touch the screen every time you lift the implement and turn around if you wanted acres to be accurate.

Do a search for 1200, 1240, 1245 planter you will find a lot of info, good and bad. Also check out http://www.caseihafs.com/ for help with the monitor. Had our 1200 since 2005, very satisfied. It's not perfect, but what is?

I have a CIH 1250 planter with the pro 600 and love it. Pulled it with a JD 4455 for a couple years
And now got a puma 185 . The puma has the ISO cable factory so I have the universal cable for JD
4455 to CIH 1250 if interested to try it out.
