One coming up on neighbors auction. Are these good balers? What should I look for? What should I expect to spend for it. This would be my first round baler I have no experience with roundbalers (prev had all custom made). Thanks for the help!!!

They are good balers but as you know Gehl has been out for a number of years. If it has an electronic monitor in the cab you best check to see if you can get parts for it. I have the silage special model and it has been bullet proof since owning it from new!!

We have a 2880 that's a good baler. Net wrap would be nicer, but the Gehl works fine for the money. They work just like any other round baler once you get going.

Check belts and bearings as best you can. The paint should be noticeable if a bearing ever got warm. I can't see one selling for over $6,000.
