A few tweaks to the planter this year.
Mounted a Track Till, added Ez Air remote fan adjustments, and finally switched to a Integra display. The display is so far ahead of the junk C3000 that the planter came with. Agco needs to go back to the drawing board in the display department.

I don't know how long they have been around, but it's a shame I just heard of them this winter.

I can't believe you guys are planting in MN and our White planter hasn't been in the dirt. It has rained nearly every day for 6 weeks.

I've never heard of EZAir, but it sure would make things nice. If you don't care, what does it cost?

Maybe someone else can chime in, I can't remember if it was 500 a piece or 500 for both. I think it was a little under a thousand for the 2 though. They are so nice, just use a key fob from the cab to adjust air pressure. Beats getting out every time!

I don't know if it helps a lot or not. That being said its my second planter I've had it on. Helps a lot when turning on the ends of the ground is a little soft. Help keeps it from cutting in so much.

Question about the ez air. Did you move the gauge up closer to the cab, so you can actually read what setting they are at, or are you just fine tuning off of the population monitor. Also, in what ways is the Agleader superior to the C3000?

We started with an EZ Guide 500 and Ez Boom for swath control, then when we went to the 8816 planter had a C1000, that thing wasnt fit to be a paper weight. 3rd year with the C3000 for swath, planter control, liquid fert control, and steering. Have been pleased once we were got it figured out.

That ex air looks slick but I have already put enough new things on my planter for this year. I agree with you on the monitor that's why we went with the Trimble fmx 1000. I hope to maybe be in the field next week or next weekend all depends on the weather. Best of luck planting and a safe 2015.

I added the EZ Air adjustment to my White Planter two years ago. I couldn't have done anything any better for this planter! With an Integra and the air adjustment in the cab you can dial your spacing into almost perfect. I try and get the doubles just a little higher than the skips because I feel that a double is better than a skip. Its amazing what the slightest adjustment can do to the seed spacing. My advice is don't wait until next year if at all possible, DO IT NOW!

I agree tecumseh, you can fine tune it so much better. I did not move the air gauges, i just adjust accordingly to how well it's planting on the monitor. My C3000 worked good for swath and overall planter control, but I spent half of the spring last year with an Agco rep out here trying to help me get it to do variable rate, and worst of all it couldn't make a map that showed the hybrids I was planting in each field. In this day of technology, having a monitor that can't even paint a separate color when you switch varieties is ridiculous. The rep finally just told me about halfway through that it wasn't going to work, and they were going to have big updates to them for 2015 season. Not that it mattered because I switched it out, but no one has called yet to say there is an update, so I assume it's the same old story. I couldn't believe how disappointing that monitor was.

How hard was it to integrate the Integra? Asked my Trimble/AgLeader dealer about an Integra on a 8816 and he said its a mess. Will be updating planters in the next few years and would like to stick with White, but I despise a C3000 so much that if an Integra or FMx can't be simply integrated onto a White planter it will make us look at other brands.

The Integra is so user friendly and as I remember it took a module or two on the planter, but the high speed seed sensors worked perfect. I will never stray from
AgLeader because they have such a great product and there support to just fabulous. I've had the support person stay over for hours trying to get me going and in the end it was my error that was causing all the problems. I too love the White planter as its easy to maintain and easy to set up with the addition of the Integra. If I sound like a salesman I'm not... just one happy AgLeader customer.

It took 2 installers from the place I bought it from about 10 hours to get it all installed. I wouldn't call it a mess, it was mainly just a ton of zip ties and routing the new wire harness on the toolbar. The only thing they use from the old system is the seed tube sensors. The new harness just plugs right into your seed sensor plugs, hydraulic drive and electric row clutch plugs. They mounted a couple modules up under the rear platform where you stand up by the central fill hoppers and then just run the harness up to the cab to the display. A little time consuming? yes. A mess, I don't think so. The Integra is so easy, they literally gave me a 10 min overview on how to run it and calibrate the hydraulic drives. The next day I was planting and never had to call the guy back to ask any questions. It really is that user friendly and it has been working great. I would recommend it to anyone

We used a tracktill that's made for a deere 1770 bar and retrofitted it to fit our white. It took some welding and fabrication but I think we have it properly secured. I really like what it's doing back there. It is really opening the ground up in those wheel tracks which I hope will eliminate any water standing in the tracks and allow for better root development. It was about 13,500. If you have a 1770 deere bar it bolts right up in a couple hours. Took us a few days to get this built.

The Tracktill uses a 6x8 tube that runs towards the front of the planter. That tube is supposed to be 13 inches off the ground when the planter is all the way down in plant position. on our 9824 the height worked out to be about 14 inches but it still works very well. We had to extent that 6x8 tube about 5 feet to get far enough ahead under the planter to get it secured properly.
