Here is our layout. We are just learning how to attach photos. Bins 1 and 2 were put in 1970. THe last last two overhead bins around 1990. The basic idea of plans came from BS&B from the 1950s. The bins are filled with 8 inch 52 foot grain auger. We have room to add 2 more bins around circle. The colored drawings were in response to grain traders thread a week or so ago on bin layout. If you have any questions just ask and I will do the best I can to answer.

How is that bin on the overhead going to work? Wouldn't a hopper bottom bin have been a lot better?

We couln't put a full hopper up there as the tops are at the same ht and we needed all the ht for semi's to go under. We have had to back a tall stack semi from the N 90 degree to the west and over the pit to unload. Each bin is divided into 4ths and there is a 20"*20" slide gate andshort hoppers up to flat . When loading out the N 2 bins of the E bin usually have corn and S 2 have beans Each side easily holds a semi load The west bin usually has feed. One of those pictures shows a auger with a hopper on each end and a spout in the middle. That is for mixing 50/50 soy hulls and corn gluten pellets there is also a gravity mix mill on the S side also read the earlier threads about digital readouts for beam scales I probably have less than $2500 plus concrete in this system
