Looking at a 720 loader on a 4440 and have a question. This is still on tractor and has joystick and loader valve attached. Just wondering how big of a project removing this loader and putting it on another 4440? Any special tools or advice i need?

Great question as I have a similar question, thinking of buying a 4455 without loader and buying a new loader to mount on it but wondering what is available for a 3 function joystick.

If the loader was properly installed with a factory joy stick and not running off a remote valve there should be a power beyond block sandwiched behind the left hand selective control valve and rockshaft housing. Would be very easy to remove and install on two tractors of same model. I would recommend new packings on the valve and p.b. block and a check of side frame bolt torque of the tractor getting the loader mounted. Might check the removable mounting pins on the loader first and see if they are rusted in the mounting frames. The cab floor has a pre punched knock out for the cables to exit cab. More questions just ask. Hope this helps.

Can you still get the power beyond block from KD and what do they approx cost? Also does John Deere have a 3 spool valve kit and joystick option for these tractors? Are the Legend 740 loaders any good or should a person be looking at the new JD loaders and is it even possible to mount an H series on a 50 or 55 series?

Since about 2011 John Deere no longer markets any loaders for tractors older than 5,6,7 and 8000 tractors. Power Beyond kits are still available and someone also is machining a block and selling them on eBay. I have some friendly salvage yard operators that save them for me when they kill a tractor that has one. The joy stick 2 and 3 function valves are all gone, (JD), but would assume Koyker can supply all that with a new loader. I have not installed a new Koyker of their JD copy's but all parts are supposed to interchange. There are several around being used.

McMinnville Tn. | KTA - 3/9/2015 23:06 I bought a new 2 function valve & joystick from my local JD dealer last fall. He checked with deere &was told they were still available. That was the only way he would sell it to me so he could replace it in case someone bought a loader from him & wanted the joystick kit.Since about 2011 John Deere no longer markets any loaders for tractors older than 5,6,7 and 8000 tractors. NE MT | Greg, I bought a JD 7700 fwa a couple years ago and had a new 740 Legend (Koyker) self leveling loader put on it. So far I've been very happy with it. It has the 2 function joystick with electric push button for the grapple and set up on power beyond. I'm assuming Koyker supplied all the parts as the tractor had never had a loader on. It'll easily lift 2 1600-1800# big round bales. It was right at $14,000 installed.

Hello Working on a control valve leak on a 720 loader. Most seals are still available, my question is why are the boom and bucket valves different. End caps are different and one has a relief valve and one doesn't. It's on a 2010 industrial and got a lot of things to figure out and fix. Don't know the year, engine plate is gone. Thanks Dan
