Central Ne. | I just upgraded from a s250 Bobcat skidsteer with the old hand and feet controls to a T870 Bobcat with selectable joy stick. So now I have to reprogram my mind. I am thinking of learning the ISO pattern and staying away from the H pattern. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to which pattern I should learn and stick with? The dealer says people go both ways, but isn't the ISO more common among different loaders? Thanks |

IA | I used to use H all the time but have switched to ISO in last year. Like the ISO better but its purely personal preference |

North West IA/western AZ | I use the one with right hand controls boom and bucket and left controls forward/back and right left. Is that ISO? Anyway 20 to 30 hours and you'll be great. |

Strasburg North Dakota | ISO for 2 of us and H for the oldest son. Easy to change just flip a switch. This is on a Case SV250. Can be a problem if it is left on H and an ISO guy gets in and starts using it. |

18c ditch system | ISO or go home. |

| If you have run non ISO skid loaders all your life like me, it took more than 2-3 hours to get proficient with it. It's the way to go. Take the time to retrain yourself. Now when I jump in and somebody else had switched to H, that seems clumsy until I switch it back to ISO. |

| I still prefer foot controls for a skid... but ISO controls are generally pretty easy to get onto. I just find that control is not quite as precise with ISO vs foot controls... but anyone can use ISO. Not so much with foot controls.
