Saronville NE | Ive got one ona flatbed pu love it, I mounted mine drivers side front of flatbed, air compressor in the middle and another toolbox on otherside of flatbed. Youll love it if you get one, hard to beat to stay organized. |

West ky | I have one in the same place. Socket pegs on bottom rack can reach up and grab you if you have shallow wells on them. I bought the smaller the first time, 6 or 7 yrs old and a man offered me more than I gave for it so I sold it and bought the larger one. |

North Central Iowa | I like mine just can't keep the dust out. Tools get a little crappy. Have not found one that does keep road dust out. Best thing is they hold things in place. Nothing is buried. |

| I like mine. Mounted same as others. Most are black but I've got a white one for a reason. See things better inside and fully intend to mark sizes on the pegs. Also going to copy Metric and SAE comparison table on the lid-----------some day?? |

| I have one mounted in my pickup over the rail on the drivers side. we have one in the service truck on a caddy with wheel under mounted to the rear corner post of the bed adn be rolled out to set on teh tailgate when needed then rolled back behind the fenderwell when not in use. also have 2 that are moved in and out of the trucks that we might be in those days. we have 4 of the mid size boxes. only gripe i have is they all leak but one through the handle on the lid. only reason the other dont leak as it is an older one with side latches.

NE SD | Don't you have to get the big one to hold metric and standard tools? I thought the smaller ones fit standard sets only. |

Chillicothe, Missouri | several of us just bought montezuma tool boxes. we all bought the largest one they made, and since we took three they gave us a discount, and thy were $619 after taxes. we rigged our truck with the welder/gen, and air compressor cross ways behind the cab, then we have storage boxes on the right side, and small tourch set, and mechanics box on the left side. we made sure everything would clear a gooseneck trailer hitch.
you can the montazuma line at www.montezumamfg.com |

West Union, Illinois | Skipper - Most are black but I've got a white one for a reason. See things better inside and fully intend to mark sizes on the pegs. Also going to copy Metric and SAE comparison table on the lid-----------some day?? I have a black one and I would vote for white. Mine got so hot inside it softened a less expensive (I don't buy cheap ones) screwdriver handle so much it bent. It was just touching the box, but that still takes a bit of heat. I like the idea of white for all the reasons Skipper gave.My winter employer got a new service truck one time and had the bed painted to match. Painter thought he was doing a good thing and painted the boxes black inside to complement the color scheme of the truck. You couldn't find anything inside those black boxes, even with lights mounted in it.

| i bought an aftermarket cpl type box today. not sure of the brand name "made in mexico" stamped on it. i dont suppose that bothers me to much hell everyone that is around me seems like is from there. seems to be of good quality and quite a bit cheaper than a cpl of the same size. ill try to get a few pics tomorrow been in the barn most of the evening mounting it and boxes on a flatbed |

South-central Nebraska | I'd buy one if I had a flatbed on my pickups. I'd put it right benind the drivers side cab facing out. I still like the pickup beds to keep everything from rolling off/around. Still trying to figure out how to make one work in a pickup bed. My Dodges are too high sided to easily reach and they don't look real nice sitting up high on the bed rail. |

|
NE Mo | We have one at the rear of the bed, sitting on a wood pallet. Ahead of the tool box is another box with essential stuff, grease gun, trouble light etc. Use a fork lift to remove the whole thing when needed. The newer pickup truck sides make it difficult to reach over the sides for anything. |

NW Tennessee | I've got mid-size one. I just have it setting in the back of my pickup facing the tailgate. Doesn't slide around too much on the rubber mat. I can work on the tailgate and have the wrenches within reach. I really like the box, even though I think they are over priced for what they are. But then, all toolboxes are really expensive. Just about my only complaint, and it's a small one: the smaller wrenches have a tendency to bounce of the hangers and drop down in the sloped storage area. Seems like anything larger than a 9/16 never moves. It's pretty amazing to me how many tools those boxes will hold for their size. |

Brazilton KS | I'm interested in where you found the "quite a bit cheaper" version. I would have had one a long time ago if they were not so overpriced. |

Baldwin City, KS | I think I would love to have one. I asked my neighbor about his that I saw and he said it was the smallest one and it cost $400 something. Sure wish there was something about like it that ran a little cheaper. |

|
Saronville NE | Weve got a neighbor who makes them himself, and sell them, have never bought one, but have seen them, they look nice, little more crude than actual cpl but still look nice. My CPL is on my 3rd pickup allready, they hold up very well. At least 50% of the farmers and pivot repair guys are running them up here, just a good solid box. Got one neighbor who has one mounted on the front of every field work tractor hes got, they look pretty sharp on the front of his 8420s and 8430s, wish I could afford to do that LOL. |

| Looks good and it doesn't look like any missing wrenchs. And they are shiney. I like the swing out part. I know a few guys that have built their own---- but commercially----does CPL have a patent? |

Brazilton KS | From his post two days ago: "i bought an aftermarket cpl type box today. not sure of the brand name "made in mexico" stamped on it" I would sorta hope there wouldn't be any tools missing in two days! |
