Westfield, IL | I just bought a 2011 Farmall 65A utility tractor, 2 wheel drive/open station.
Anyone have any experience with these tractors? Has 650 hrs |

north,ala | Good plain jane tractors. |

| Buddy has a 55a that has been good. |

Traverse City MI | We have one. Around 500 hours with a loader and 4wd. Had some electrical issues but I think they are ironed out now. Turning with a 4wd is not the best but a decent plain tractor. |

NE Iowa | Have a 75A with MFWD that we've put 350 hours with no issues. Not fancy but gets the job done and a good buy for the money. Would buy another. |

Freedom, WI | I drove a 95A once and hated it. It was brand new. but, it might be just me, too. |

I have the bigger new Holland sister. Workmaster 75. Same tractor just a bit more power. FWA on mine. Yes plain jane tractor. Had mine 3 years and 3070 hours. Keep an eye on the wheel bolts and the bolts on the 3 point hitch and draw bar also. Another thing is that some of them came from the factory with the fan belt too tight. Check that. If its too tight it will wreck the belt. The only other thing you might want to consider if your using it a lot is up grading the seat to one with a bit more suspension. For a cheap reliable tractor they really can't be beat. Another thing is when something does break parts are not too badly priced and they are simple like the older tractors so if your mechanical at all repairs can be made by yourself. |

North Carolina | Hello hog987,
I apologize for opening up an old thread, but can you explain how the transmission works on the NH Workmaster / CIH Farmall 65A tractor? Does the tractor have to be stopped between range AND gear selections? The new models (ie. 60A) appear to have a mechanical LH reverser...did your NH have this? Is it clutchless? Just curious, as I'm looking pretty hard at a new Case IH 50A or 60A w/ loader.
Thank you,
Matthew |

NE Iowa | I have a 4 or 5 year old 75A. No reverser option back then. The standard transmission is like driving a tractor from the 50's or 60's. Can upshift going forward but downshift or Hi-Lo range changes pretty much require coming to a stop. I've had good luck with mine but no loader work. I do move a lot of round bales with it and it doesn't work too bad even without the reverser. |
