Galahad, Alberta | Our local town is selling this tractor. It has the cummins 5.9 in it, 3 pth, 3 hyd, 540/1000 pto, 5000 hrs on it, FEL, 1995 model. Anybody using one? Likes/dislikes?? What would it be worth? Thinking it would be a good auger tractor, picking rocks, messing around the yard.

Callao Missouri | If it has the 32 speed dyna shift and mfwd you will fall in love with it. If it has the 18 speed powershift and mfwd you will like it for the most part. Jon |

Galahad, Alberta | It has 4 ranges, 4 gears in each range, and then a forward/reverse shifter. I'm thinking that's a 32 speed. There was no 18 speed power shift system on the console. Also, no mfwd, this tractor, for the most part, did loader work in the summer, and did snow moving in the winter. There is a dealer about 35 miles away, but not a strong presence in my area. Any things to look for on the tractor? Weak points?

| Generally I don't think the reverse gears count towards the total so that'd actually be a 16 speed. Otherwise it's like saying your truck is a six speed because it has five forward gears and one reverse. |

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | It is a Massey with a Cummins engine, White sheet metal and paint.
Also a 6144, just the smoke screws set hotter
That era White tractors, 1994-96 or so. If the last digit of the model number is a 5, it is a pretty much Charles City White design tractor with a Cummins engine, Funk 18 speed powershift tranny. Models 6125, 6145, 6175, 6195 and 6215
Or in Orange as the 9435 and 9455. Detroit Diesel engines.
Orange one of that time with a 6 or 8 as the second digit in the model number are Charles City design Whites with the 18 speed Funk. |

Palestine,Texas | I have a 6144 turbo/intercooled 6124. If you bump the gear shift in the neutral gate to the far left it will toggle between high / low. The 32 speed forward and reverse is a great trans. For bailing hay, there is nothing like it. Cummings motor tuned at this low of horsepower has lots of life left. Make sure to let the computer cycle thru all the diagnostics after you push the clutch in, that way the Trans will not get confused. Great overall tractor. |
