If so DO NOT use 134, Dot 3, or anything else than the recommended brake oil from the NH dealer. If the brakes are their own seperate unique system, there should be an access cap or door high on the hood right in front of the cab for access to the master cylinders.

All of the TW and 10 series require a hydraulic brake oil and not DOT fluid or hydr oil. If I remember correctly the master cylinders were mounted under the front console in a vertical position. To fill them you had to remove the rubber boot from each master cylinder and poor the fluid in the top of the master cylinders. This was done on some of the Fords, not positive if the TWs were like this.

checked the brake master cylinder location. it is on the firewall behind the engine. It has a dipstick for checking level and this is also how you top up the reservoir.

Lac qui Parle County Minnesota | Should be a plastic plug or a hole if the plug is gone right in front of the windshield on the left side of the cab (facing front)

Pop out with pocket knife or screwdriver.

Southern Illinois | All of the Ford non-powered hydraulic brakes use a mineral oil based fluid. The old fluid is clear, the newer fluid is green (about 1990 and newer) colored. NH always said both would work but they do still sell both the old and new fluids. DOT fluid will soften the slave piston orings and will cause brake leakage. ABSOLUTELY do not use DOT fluid in any Ford/NH tractor brake system. Once they start to leak internally you have to pull the axel trumpet housing to change the orings. The other posts are right. You do fill the master cyl resivoir with the dipstick tube. After the 8630,8730,8830 came out the brakes were powered with the transmission hydraulic oil and did not have a separate resivoir.
