What exactly is this tractor, never heard of one before until I came across one. Looks like a higher hp 7400? Is it a good tractor, what are the problems. Being its an odd number, is it a Euro model?

What's a better deal a 7400 or 7510? Looking for loader tractor to feed and do chores with as well as a higher hp tractor to do some baling, etc. both tractors have over 10k on them, would you be afraid of it?

I have only been around the high crops, but were higher hp and had the big front planetary hubs.

Its a higher horsepower 7410 with a stronger front axle. U joint between engine and tranny is only real weak point, same as the whole 6000,7000 series. Probably one of the best tractors ever made for what you are looking to do. 10k is getting up there with any tractor. There's lots of these out there on mixers with 15k+ hours on them. Not A Euro model.

My neighbor has one with a 741 loader on it. I did his chores for a week with it and it is a nice tractor. He broke the rocker switch on top of the loader joystick. I replaced the rocker switch for him, that thing is really cheap. Otherwise seems like a good solid tractor.

The 6910 is the Euro version of this model. The big thing that I am aware of is the once with the early IVT's have had to get their IVT replaced at some point early in their live. The differences between the Euro model and the NA model are the cab and hydraulics. Both series are otherwise good to my knowledge.

I own one with a 740 loader I bought new.Thinking of trading just because it has 3700 hours on it and only oil changes an tires is all I have spent on it. The local JD dealer offered me more than I paid for it. My hired help does not want me to trade they think it very handy an just the right size

As mentioned they are a lot like the 7410 series but a step up. Pretty simple tractor a left hand reverser and the 20 speed E range transmission were a plus and the 6.8 motor was set at 115 rated PTO and that was on the low side. I had a 2002 and other than regular service of oil and filters I replaced fuel line rubbers and the locking spring on transmission park. Great tractor..

We had two of them specifically for hay work. Like others have said they are the perfect hay/loader tractor. They had a heavy front mfwd axle and I believe the frame was thicker than a 7410 to better accommodate a loader. U joint between engine a transmission and sensors on the transmission are the only things that have given us problems.

I've got a 7410 and a 7510, both with loaders. Main difference I can see is 7510 has heavier front axle but I've never had a problem with the lighter axle on the 7410. Other big difference on mine is 7510 does not have left hand reverser. For your choice I'd go with the one with lhr. Don't seem to be as many 7510 as other models but think most parts on small 7000 series are the same. 7510 better be a good tractor as I traded a 4440 on it.

A couple thousand more hours and you'll have it broke in.

The 7510 was brought in a couple years into the 10 series production run when JD saw a hp gap between the 7410 and 7610. We have a 7410 and a 7510, both with 740 loaders, LHR, and 20-speed. Dad prefers the 74, I like the 75. It does anything to do with hay, pulls an 8-ton fertilizer spreader, and does some snow removal in winter.

As others have said, the weak spot is the engine-transmission coupler; had to replace ours at 6-7k hours. Had to tear into the tranny and do the input shaft as well. Overall, it's hard to beat the 7x10 series!

My dealer sold it as a loader special. Heavier frame and front end than the 7410 and he said it was one of the few tractors they could order from the factory with the loader pre-installed. Mine is 2000 model with 740 loader. No problems except trying to keep the shift linkages from seizing up.

It's actually a very good tractor. I sold quite a few back in the day when I sold at a JD dealership. Best JD tractor since the 4455 in my opinion.

That's what I was thinking CEO, they were designed and marketed as "loader tractor special" I have a customer who has a small feed yard and he had 2 of them on the place at all times.

SOUTHEAST IN
I HAVE 2-7210 `S AND 1 MFWD 7410. THE 7410 HAS THE HD FRONT AXLE AND LEFT HAND REVERSER. THE FRONT AXLE IS HEAVIER THAN MY FREINDS JD MFWD 7210 AND IT IS AS HEAVY OR HEAVIER THAN THE FORD AND CASE IH TRACTORS IVE BEEN LOOKING AT THAT ARE 200 HP. THEY HAVE ALL BEEN TROUBLE FREE , EASY TO SERVICE ,CHEAP ON FUEL,HAVE PLENTY OF POWER AND TORQUE. I WOULD LIKE TO FIND A 7810 2 OR 4 WHEEL TO PULL A 12-24 KINZE AND A GRAIN CART IN THE FALL.
