Eastern Iowa | Doing some research and I believe the answer is no? Ag Leader only has Steer Ready kit, so What does it take to make a MT765 Auto Steer ready and for an Ag Leader GeoSteer? Looks like the ISO CAN Bus kit is needed, what is the cost of that?
Thanks |

| I believe all MT-Series are Auto-Ready Via the CAN-bus of the tractor. So the platform kit (for Trimble/CaseIH All-Makes) only consists of a Y-harness ($495) that ties to the CAN system and sends the proper signals... I am not a Challenger dealer though so I don't know if early on in the series they didn't have the CAN open like they do now. |

Petersburg, IL | Usually if there is a choice between AutoGuide ready and non AutoGuide ready, Ag Leader will have a Hydraulic install kit available with the valve and cabling. I took a look and since all they offer is the Steer ready option, I would guess they all are AutoGuide ready. |

NE South Dakota Clark, SD | I believe some of the early models may need a translater card or something to that effect. An Agco dealer could confirm this.I think you are safe with B or C models. |

Iowa | All C and D models are steer ready. A and B models need to have the 9 pin iso connector on the back of the tractor and then they are steer ready. Majority of the older models have it but it is a little over $2000 to add the kit plus whatever the CAT dealer charges for labor. |

| Twister is correct. Other than it really isn't the 9 pin kit on the rear you need, it is the Translator module in the cab that allows the third party guidance to talk to the tractors steering. The Challenger Track tractors are by far the easiest tractor to steer, period. The componentry is already there and being used to steer manually. You will have to have a CAT Dealer with ET to download software into the translator to get it to work. You will run into an A or even some B models that are not auto steer ready, most likely because they started their life as a construction tractor. |

| I just bought a 2002 MT765 that was not auto steer ready. It did have the harness installed in the cab, but was missing the translator ecm which mounts underneath the seat, and the fuse block that would be the lowest and farthest forward one under the cover on the right side of the cab.
I had to install the harness that has the ISO coupler at the back of the tractor, then runs under the cab and plugs into the cab harness, and then runs farther forward and to the frame for grounds. I also installed the translator ecm and the fuse block which was easy with already having the plugs there to plug into them. The translator ecm was the expensive part.......think around $2000. And I had to have my dealer program the computer once the translator ecm was installed. I'm running Outback EdriveX with an S3 for auto steer. Got the cable to hook it up to the tractor from my Outback dealer for $50. I wouldn't be afraid of one that's not auto steer ready if price is right. The cab harness would be a pain to install IMHO. |
