North Central Indiana | I and a neighbor installed 42 by 16 foot this summer. A little adjusting after the install and getting along fine. Final picture is neighbors door during installation. IL | Do you agree on their theory of less stress/leverage on the building because of their design?

Central Minnesota | 100 % agree with less stress. All the weight is on the 2 I beam columns that it sits on. Small amount on building to keep columns up right. I just fillled the 2 posts that it sits on with 30 inch diameter of concrete. They used to have a movie on website with free standing door mounted on columns and no building. Also all the bids I had I would of had to spend a couple thousnd more on building reinfocement to install a bi-fold or regular hydraulic door. To me everything is good about it except mine is pretty slow going down in winter as is in cold storage. They claim they made them a little faster now. Also lose 6 inches of head room.

North Central Indiana | Paul these pictures are from the Farm Progress Show. I have been watching this door for three years and first noticed it at the Louisville Show.. There are others on here that have had them installed much longer than me that are happy with the door. My builder had installed other Hydraulic and bifold doors and has always had to reinforce the building. He added no additional supports to both of our buildings and sees no need to. He is very impressed at how the door works, The pictures below show the columns support the door and the building just stabilizes the door columns. I bought my door at Louisville last January 5 percent discount and 10 percent for the first guy there. North Central Indiana | I have a 16x40 in my building and love it. Was going to cost a couple thousand more to put in 2 - 20' OH with a moveable center post, which would give up headroom. My other building has a hydralic, but had to be reinforced to accomidate it. If your considerations are price, headroom and load on building, it's the only way to go. Side note: Had to wait about 3 months to get mine built. They got an order from Uncle Sam that was slid in ahead of mine for 5- 22' x 105' that went to Afganistan. Those had to be impressive.

south east SD | What does it cost? I put in a Hi-Fold Door in from Wisconsin, mine is a 40 by 20 bi-fold 2 opener's for $8500 installed. When open you have a full 20 foot opening. Does not include the heaver posts on my end wall. Open walk in door, hit the button and by the time get into what you want to move the door is open. 220 electric over hydraulic. I am happy. Mine hooks in the center, cable driven center hooking system. Very simple latch, hook system. Edited by Fred 12/12/2013 17:03

North West IA/western AZ | How do they seal the weather out? That's the thing I like most about my Hydraulic door, it seals from the outside. Wind pressure seals it tighter instead of loosening the seal.
