NEMO | Good sprayers? How big of tires can I run on it? It has 12.4x38's, can I go to 12.4x42's alright? Can i use some floaters on it? 95% flat ground here. Anything else? |

Central Iowa | I have a 3185 (35hp more) and really like it. Ours has 42 inch rubber. It has been very reliable for us. I would definitely consider these machines. |

sw Nebraska | I had a 3150 with a 90 foot boom with an Envisio Pro for guidance and auto-steer and a Raven 460 for product control. Great little machine, has 5.9 Cummins as does the 3185 just detuned a little, and the 3185 has the 42 inch tires standard. I asked my local diesel tuner if I could bump it up powerwise and he said easily but we are fairly flat and never felt the need. They are a very light nimble machine and you will be lighter full than most empty. The 38 inch tires left less track than the 3320 I run now. You might try it before deciding to purchase the 42's or floaters. I think the 42s would work fine though power issue could show up with taller rubber. Might be cheaper to find 3185 than switch out tires though.
Basically the only problem I had with it was it seemed to have a bad batch of 1/4 inch hydraulic hose lines, I replaced most of them.

NEMO | Thanks. I happen to have a set of 12.4-42's i think I could swap out. Just was wondering if it would be neccessary to have a set of floaters for spring? |

Central Iowa | I don't think so, we don't. Like R2 stated, they are very lite compared to some of the others. |

| Friend had a 3150 & said it was under powered so we went with a 3185. We do some moleboard plowing & the 3185 was underpowered when spraying it in the spring. In those conditions I would never put more than 500 gal in the tank & even then was lucky to run 6 mph till it was down to about 300 gal. Our 3185 had 75' booms. I disliked the 75' booms. They don't match up to anything. We plant with a 16x30" planter & first pass around the field was a pita unless I folded the outer wings in. Not sure who ever thought up 75' booms but they need to be shot IMO. Ours had 42" rubber, I don't think it would have had enough power for floaters. |
