Just curious how big of a 2410 chisel will a 9400 4wd pull. What size do you have and what do you pull it with? Thanks

Slicker than a Yes album.
Depends on the shanks and the number of them. Used to pull a 32' 22 shank 680 with the tru depth shanks and it was all a 9400/9520T wanted. That was also pulling a 1500 gal NH3 tank behind it. Now we have a 25 knife 62' 2410 pulling doubles and it's a load for the 9560RT.

How deep, how fast and how good of a welder are you?

I have a 9420 and a 41 foot 2410.  I think 39 should be all I should pull with that tractor for what I would like to do.

In my soil types and the depth I want to work the ground, it has worked for me but at a cost.  The 2410 frame is not very strong. Picture shows just one of the breaking areas.  I have been told the last few years of 2410 have frames made stronger than the early models.  I have seen 55 footers being pulled by 9420's but to me it is being used more as a cultivator than a deep ripping type chisel work.

Did you have to put the second hitch on yourself? How did you do it?

I believe ours is a 33 foot. has 33 shanks on 12 inch spacing. I pulled it with a 9410R tilling up rye and wheat ground (lighter dirt). Went about 7 inches deep and it pulled a bit hard. Tractor power hopped. If I had the tire pressure set better and weighted right it could have pulled it better but its still a lot for that tractor. We usually pull it with our 9560 RT in soybean ground and it handles it just fine. 10 inches deep.

Yes we do. 16 foot grouser blade. Its really heavy on this tractors front so we built a weight bar and hung 18 suitcase weights on the back to help compensate it. It helped keep it more flat on the pile otherwise the grill was always leaning down towards the pile.

Wow, I thought the only good design was the frame. The shanks and assembly are junk.

Slicker than a Yes album.
We get them from Ag Systems in Hutchinson, MN. They are a bolt on design, have a third one in the middle that isn't in the pic yet. That one has bars tied to the frame toward the front as there is no boxing to help hold things together in the middle. (boxed around the main lift wheels on either side, so that's not a problem.)
