Ontario's middle east | Pulled the plug and it looks a little creamy. The heads never sat outside, condensation maybe ? Or is this what the Deere oil looks like. It suppose to have 80w90 in it, but I don't see a plug to drain it. Why a grease fitting on top with oil in it? TIA |

| What year head? Pretty sure with a fitting, it will require cornhead grease not gear oil. |

south east SD | Mine has oil dip stick with a O ring that screws in like the older Deere heads, square in set. Mine is 80-90 and when I checked mine last week they were full and looked like oil. Mine is a 2012 model. What year is yours?

Eastern Shore | If it has a grease fitting up top, it takes cornhead grease. |

Ontario's middle east | I think this is 2011 . It has a Allen key plug that is a dipstick. Dealer said by serial number should be gear lube. Doesn't look like gear lube or corn head grease. More like .....ox snot.... |
