Southwest Iowa | We've been thinking about trading our 3408 CaseIH corn head for either a 12 row Drago or Geringhoff head. It seems like we get a fair amount of kernal loss with our current head no matter what we adjust and looking to eliminate that problem. Seems like a few weeks ago I saw a post on here where not many people were impressed with the Drago's. I haven't heard much lately about the Geringhoff's and what people think about them. If anybody has gone to either one of these heads from a red one, let me know what the pro's and con's have been. What were you happy with and/or unhappy with? Thanks for any and all replies! SW MINNESOTA | I have had an 8 row drago for a while now! I'm really impressed in how little but shelling I get with it and it us awesome in down corn! The chopping part really sucks to put in blunt! We have been disking ahead if the ripper to get stalks cut up better. I do feel though that the head saves enough corn to pay for the disk trip, my next head will probably be a non chopping drago

Hitchcock SD | 12 row Drago chopping head here. Love the head!!! The chopping part does the job for us. Hard to find any kernels on the ground from shatter loss.

East Central Ia | The Capello (Claas Lexion rebrands them also) heads are a very good under appreciated head. We have run Geringhoff, Lexion, and now a Drago. We had a lot of trouble with our Geringhoff and didnt like several things about their design either. We liked the Lexion head but switched to 20" rows and found a Drago for a good price. We are still getting the Drago whipped into shape as it was a used hard head. Love everything about the drago but the small cheasy auger and the deck plates are sticking open. Have some things to try for this season so hopefully all goes well and we will stick with this drago for a while.

Wheatley, Arkansas | We tried a Drago last year and weren't overly impressed with it over the Deere 1293 we were running.

north central ky | Love the folding Geringhoff if they will ever get the hydraulic kinks worked out. We are on our second folding head and they have both had folding issues but nothing major. I would hate to think we had to drop the head between every field and gate. It is a huge time saver unless you don't have to unhook you head much. Other than folding issues they have been flawless with very little butt shelling.

North of Iowa | Have neighbors that had a 12 row Drago and couldn't keep it in the field, they now run the CIH and very happy. You will not like the chopping job of a Drago or when it's dry they will have a pile of fluff in front of feeder house.

18c ditch system | Drago needs to move lawn mower blade forward and to the side like Deere. Their chopping performance is less than stellar.

Clear Lake, IA | '09 Drago on a 9650STS, Like the head and like the job it does chopping. It puts the corn in the machine and chops second. If you are not running the head at 650-680 RPM it does a crap job of chopping. If you run it at the RPM the book tells you to it does a great job. If you have a pile of fluff on your head and are combining 13% corn, buy the dry corn kit and it solves the problem. If you want it to chop better put on either the Turbo Chop or the fine cut kit. The wettest corn we cut last year was 18% and on that it did a excellent job. This picture was in 14% corn with less then new blades, no turbo chop, no fine cut kit, 5.8mph and 160ish bpa corn. If the deck plates are not working take them apart, clean them and put in the grease that Drago had specifically made for them. South Africa | We have a 2007 Geringhoff and couldn't be happier! We have now harvested 30 000 acres with it and had very minimal repairs! We also have very little grain loss if any!

Northern Illinois | If you want yield in the tank you will not beat a Drago. We aren't real concerned with stalks as we can achieve residue sizing with our fall tillage. marbro1 if you are looking for a good 12 row we have one in AgTalk classifieds
