Dearfield Co.
IT could be the check valve setup-----------I can't rememebr where it is on a c15 for sure I cant even picture it in my mind for whatever reason and mine is on the road .Also it could be in one of the fuel lines. It wont show as a leak but but wont hold vacuum. Also one or more of the inj can be lossing fuel either into the engine or intto the oil but you should see other symptoms .

Oxford County Ontario
Fuel return check valve is the one on the bottom side of the fuel filter housing beside where you spin the filter on. NOT the one beside your bleed screw

Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80

Don't overtighten a new fuel return check valve; they only torque to roughly 28 ft lbs = just good and snug.(This is a good place to start)

I assume you already have a "hand priming pump"; if not, install one.

If you have been using the "bleed plug" a lot; then there is always a chance that the inner o-ring has chunk missing and can also allow air into the system, too.

There are some other items, too; but let us know after you change fuel return check valve.

Probably the check value. Same thing happened to use last year, replaced check fixed the problem

also check the diverter valves that are usually mounted up on the crossmember on petes. If they have dust clinging to them and show some wetness it can leak back there as well.the volume of fuel the transfer pump moves can suck the system dry if the hoses are not full and fast

Just had the same problem. It ended up being a bad wire at the key switch and the ECM wasn't getting enough voltage.

if they have a fuel filter on the side with a clear top it can get a small leak and lose prime. we had one do that and it took a while to find it. This was on a volvo tho.

Fuel return check valve in bottom of filter base is a first step, use a stubby spanner so its not over tight. Check for any were that can suck air in the system as well.

I had a 6nz with high km on it and never any injectors replaced could not win with it in end run some red oil dye in fuel and then removed over head gear and keep pressure up on hand primer, found it was weeping around the injector shafts in past the springs. Had oil sampled and they were all good before this looking for fuel.
