Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | I helped the wife and cousin pit up several dozen of RR sweet corn this past weekend (I pick and shuck, they do the technical stuff). It's the first year we have ever had it. I was very impressed in how well it tasted, how sweet it was, and weed free in the field.
I certainly don't intend to start some GMO firestorm here...........................but why won't the raccoons eat it........I only saw two stalks they had messed with. |

N/W, Ohio | I planted RR sweet corn for my son and daughter-in-law. We like Mark, were also impressed with it, plus no ear worms. He does a great job of keeping the raccoons out, but I would sure like to learn more about why the raccoons do not eating it. Thanks for any experiences and insight. |

N/W, Ohio | Obsession II from my seed dealer. Also, Rupp Seed of Wauseon Ohio sells a lot of it. |

|
Macon, IL | We did same thing last weekend-put up a lot in freezer. We planted Obcession II and Tempation II, both turned out very good!
Counted a total of 4 ear worms in over 200 ears. Used to be almost every ear had some. |

High Springs, Florida | Weird thing, here in Florida, coons do not get into our sweet corn. Boy they sure did in Ohio, a never ending battle. Down here, I have seen coon walk right past the corn, like it wasn't there.
Plan on trying the RR next year. Heavy spiny pigweed pressure here, atrazine works, but then grass pressure is high.

High Springs, Florida | It is the darnest thing, I see them all over the place but for some strange reason, they do not bother the sweet corn. I have even thrown bad ears on the ground and nothing bothers them. Up north, you would find trails of half eaten ears leading into the woods.

Spendy, but well worth it. |

Northern Nebraska | Went to help the neighbors pick their patch of rr sweet corn last sunday. Got into the patch and there was only 25 ears left in a 100 yard long patch after the racoons devastated it. They ate every ear to the cob. |

SE Nebraska | The coons like my RR sweet corn. I have not seen that it deters them. I planted Temptation. |
|
|
|
Eastern North Carolina | We planted regular diver queen & noticed almost no ear worms either. Maybe environmental? No corn's been grown around our sweet corn patch on 6 years, so maybe no moths/eggs around. As others have mentioned, this was our cleanest corn from a pest standpoint that we've ever had. |
