Subject: New Holland TC29DA

Anyone or familiar with these little utility tractors to use around the farm yard. I've found one with a loader and belly mower and am intrigued by it. I have a large yard and I thought this would be neat for that and mowing ditches, also would use with a rotor tiller for tree rows and the loader would come in handy for small projects. Are they reliable? What problems, cons and pros? What's it worth?

I cannot speak for this model as I had a TC25D. I loved the little thing and had no problems with this one. I traded for a used CIH DX45 with a cab, heater and air. Also I am now using a 7' snowblower and change to a 7' bucket in the winter. Also a good little unit.

Going back to the TC25D I had a loader and backhoe with a 16" bucket. I would extend some tile lines almost every year. Anywhere from 500 to 1800 feet at a time. The only complaint was that you could not straddle 2 - 30" rows with the back tread until I added axial extensions. Any extensions from a 510 Massy or 4400 JD bolted right on just adding longer bolts. It added a little weight and made it more stable for mowing steep ditches. I also had a 6' brush mower and would not go smaller. Over all a very good tractor.

I have a 23 hp model and it's been a best buy for me. 25 or 29 hp would even be better.

I have the red equvilent CaseIH DX25. Great tractor, well built, no problems ever. I use it to mow a lot and on pto grain augers for loadout, plenty of power and fits in tight spots between bins. easy on fuel too.

They are handy BUT you need to follow manufactures specs regarding sixe and weight of options, customer didn't have enought common sense split transmission case was to of a tune around 6 grand, Scott.

I have had a 25DA for about 5-6 yrs and have only had one issue, the mid mount pto seal when out after about 30 hrs. I use it for mowing the yard and dragging the driveways, no loader on it. Also use it for running a 836 auger to unload bins with, handy as heck for that, shuffling around some wagons too...surprising what it will pull around on the flat and is easy to back in wagons to tight spots. Thing just sips fuel too, one tank will do a lot of mowing.

My load out auger from the bin discharge up into the trucks are a Hutchinson pto 8" diameter one is 35' and the other is 50' . It runs both just fine as the 50' is pretty flat incline, it doesn't need a lot of power as a straight up (40 degree) to top of bin does.

Subject: What's considered hour hours for these models?

Also what would be considered high hours for these little 3 cylinder diesels?

I found one near me with nearly 1000 hrs on it but it looks almost like new. They want 14500 and it has a loader and belly mower, too much or fair price?
