Ontario Canada | Have a bunch of willow and poplar trees that are a real pain and are getting into the tiles, was told that drilling holes into them on an angle down and putting roundup into them will get rid of them, anyone else tried this or is there a better way, would like to cut them down and pull out stumps afterwards, thanks for any ideas and help. |

nw pa | not sure if that will work. but for killing grapevines we hang a soda bottle full of round-up on a cut off branch.. few weeks later you can follow the vine. It's dying and after a month or so it's gone. Don't know why it wouldnt work on trees. Maybe use more than one bottle. |

| I had willows about 4 feet tall, I sprayed them with a standard 1% (1 quart to 10 gallons of water) solution of 4 pound glyphosate. I wet all the leaves, they died.
Cut stumps of lots of trees die when painted with tordon or crossbow. For spraying be sure to dilute by the label, killing sumac didn't work with a very strong spray of crossbow, it burned the tops off so fast nothing got to the roots so it came back three times. A proper solution killed it all, including the roots.
