We are looking to setup a fuel trailer and have been looking at gas engine powered pumps. What are you using for a pump? I have looked at the Small tranfer pumps that Northern Tool has but they say that they cant get seals that are rated for fuel. I dont want to spend a fortune on a pump.

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463
Sprayer Specialties has a Diesel Fuel Skid.
Pump, 50' hose with a reel, big filter, 5.5 hp Honda engine for less than $2000-

Add a starter and it is over $2000-

Pic is my old fuel rig. It had a hand pump for too many years.

We use a regular Briggs water pump with fuel seals. I think the kit was around $50

This subject, like most on MT, has come up several times before.

Up in the top left corner there is a search button.
Here is one of the threads that it returned for me, which might be useful for you.

NE AR
Look for one with Buna N seals, doesn't have to say rated for fuel.

Dibber, who has that system and how much does it cost? Looks clean and well layed out but also pricey. TIA

You can order a small gas powered water pump from your farm store with buna or viton seals . I use an old briggs pump and ordered a buna seal kit 4 it . Buna kit cheaper than viton . Dead idle will move a lot of fuel . Have outo nozzle and try not 2 let pump run 2 long when nozzle shuts off . Would never go back 2 12 volt . Gona work on switch that will kill engine when nozzle kicks off .
