Iowa | Calling all White 2-155 tractor experts. Does this tractor have a power beyond port? All outlets are being used and need to add a hydraulic motor to planter. If it does, do we need a pressure sensing line to tell hydraulics we need flow? Any help would be appreciated. DavidM

North Central Kansas | good luck, I have no clue. Then the most I need are 3 on mine.

MN | You will have to add it. My dad has a 125 that we needed to add it on for our planter too. Your dealer should have the parts on hand for it. It's about a 10 minute job to put it on.

Central Illinois | It can be added very easily. There is a line coming out of the hydraulic unit at the top left side that you can tee off for your pressure port. There is a plug at the top, back side of the unit for the return. This will provide constant pressure any time the engine is running. A flow compensator would be needed to reduce/control the pressure to your hydraulic motor. You need to shut the engine off to disconnect the hoses, otherwise you'll get a hydraulic oil bath. This is from memory. Can post a picture this evening.

North Central Kansas | David, how many outlets do you have now? Mine has 3 and they are a pta to deal with

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | Very easy to do. You do not need to go to your dealer. Except for a hose and hydraulic couplier, but a farm store will do. This will work on White model 2-85, 2-88, 2-105, 2-110, 2-135, 2-150, 2-155, 2-180, 4-150, 4-175, 4-180, 4-210 and 4-225. Also Oliver 1755, 1855, 1955 and 2255. Also some M-M and Cockshutt models of the same time frame as the Oliver models. Top picture. On the end plate of the stack of hydraulic valves - At the top is a pipe plug with that a allen wrench will fit. Remove this plug. The hole is 1/4" NPT. Second picture: Use a 1/4" close nipple, then a bushing or couplier to get it up to 3/8" or better yet 1/2". From there you are on your own. In the picture I have a Pioneer male. To use I hooked a female on the male, then a hose to a couplier near the PTO shield. I have since went to JIC. Return by removing the pipe plug in the lower left of the rear side of the casting on top of the rear end casting. Picture 3. Some early, like 1977 model 2-135 and 2-155 tractors do not have this hole and you will have to drill and tap it. Both my 2-135 and 2-155 had to be drilled. But all the later ones have the hole there. Also both my 2-105 and Oliver 2255 had the hole in place. North Central Kansas | I have the same 3 outlet setup on the right. They are a royal pain to hook and unhook. I took them apart and put a washer back there to use as a pry point with a screwdriver. It would be a lot nicer if they had a more sturdy/rigid mount.

Liberty, MO | Bobby that setup will work on the 9130-50-70-90 Deutz Allis tractors also.

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463 | There was a change in the remote valves starting with the White 185 in 1987. Then the following models 100, 120, 1125, 140, 145, 160, 170, and 195. Also the 4-270. And I always assumed the DA 9130, 9150, 9170 and 9190. Then the AGCO Allis 9600 series and White 6100 series. But the Massey design AGCO Allis 9435 & 9455, and AGCO White 6144, may have been a 6124 have a different hydraulic system. I felt these later valves could be made Power Beyond pretty much the same way, but was not sure. Glad to know. Thanks for the info. I used this very easy to do and low cost power beyond to run spray pumps, my planter fans, and the Rawson Drive on my planter. Also to power the Joy Stick valve on my loader. All without ever having a problem. The pic below is one on a Oliver 1650. A whole different deal. I assume it would work on all the Oliver Open Center tractors from the 1800 thru the 2150. Not sure. Models 1550, 1600, 1650, 1655, 1750, 1800, 1850, 1900, 1950, 1950T, 2050 and 2150. If you want to know how, I will explain with pics later. It is in the White 5100 planter OM. Nebraska, The land of corn and cattle | Id go off the left side of the housing instead of off the valves. Weve done this on a 135 and 155. All you have to do is replace the 90 degree fitting with a T and run your hose. Then just dump back into the casting. FWIW weve been told by the Mechanic friend of ours thats worked on Whites and agco his whole life that while going off the valves does work that everytime you use your valves while you have the power beyond running then whatever youre running will slow down just a bit. May not effect what youre doing but for us we are running the blower on our White planter we didnt want it slowing down. Plus that is a pretty small hole on the valves, you will get more flow out of it the other way.

Central Illinois | Forgot to post the pictures last night. This is how my 2-135 and 2-110 are plumbed for power beyond. On the first picture, the long straight arrow points to where you tee off of a line coming out of the unit. The up arrow is the pressure line coming off the tee. The down arrow points to the return coupling. Just had to remove a plug and install the coupling (on mine). This provides constant, full flow and pressure when the engine is running. Once again, shut the engine off to make/break couplings or you will get a hydraulic bath, at least I did ONCE! I'm using standard pioneer couplings. I now understand that I should be using a flat face, zero pressure coupling for the return. You can damage a hyd. motor if it encounters pressure on the return side. I haven't had any issues, but may be a good idea. I run my white planter blower off this with a regulator on the planter.
