Findlay, Ohio | Wondering if any one has went from a late model 600c series JD corn head to a Drago and wished they would have stayed with the Deere ?

N IL | Went from a Drago to a 600c and we really miss how good the Drago picked corn but it was a gigantic POS, the drive system is a joke.

WC Indiana | Did you have a Drago chopper cornhead? I have thought about buying a non-chopper Drago head. I have heard they have less trouble than the chopper heads. Is this true? Did you have trouble with gearboxes or something else? Thanks!

n.c.iowa | i was talking to one of my nieghbors, just last week, he had a drago two years ago,got so disgusted with it he traded off midway last season for a deere head,he said he liked how the drago picked up corn, just got tired of replacing bearings and toe shafts.was at the show looking at the drago and i saw that they reengineered the toe shaft, and fellow i know came up while i was looking at the upgrade, and his words were"don't kid yourself,it looks different but it's only alittle better than the old design"

NW IL | They are good corn heads. Some people are either unlucky or they are the type that you can not build anything good enough for them

Dalton, OH | This was our 1st year running a Drago head, 8-row. Have demoed many 600c heads, but moved from a 693 head with Calmer's setup to the Drago. If it wasn't for the infield performance of the Drago this year in our extremely variable corn, I would be running another head for next season. When we got the head last summer, we were extremely unimpressed with the design of it as we were prepping it for our machine. So many little things that they were 10 years behind on compared to the Deere. But I kept reminding myself we bought this head for the performance in the field and I was very impressed there and only there, but that is what pays the bills. We will give it one more season and then see where we are then.

Sibley county Minesota | We had a Drago head worked good in down corn, stripper plates were nice, chopping was ok, never had gear box troubles but the third year started to have bearing issues and could not keep drive chain on.

n.c.iowa | my uncle had a older drago several years back, and often ran two machines in the same field,we had at the time a 1063.the first year he ran the choppers, took them off half way through, because of high maintenance and poor chopping performance.the second season he ran without choppers and after season he had it in the shop for 6 months waiting for parts.traded it off for a 3206.there has been a few updates since then, but i still hear complaints about the job it does chopping.

SW MINNESOTA | It all depends what your after! We run a drago currently and it really does catch more corn than my brother in laws 612c but as far as chopping jd wins hands down!!!

North Central Iowa | Curious to what they are 10 years behind in. Deere hasn't even had a chopping head 10 years, and the first ones people bought Deere bought them all back cause they where so bad. Deere does chop better and Drago will tell you that. Gathering chains and sprockets on Drago put Deere and Case IH to shame! I'm one of them that has had good luck with my Drago. Mine is a 2007 so it does not have the updated toe shaft coupler but I have had no bearing problems. This year I did put a new auger chain and tightner sprocket on because of 5 years of wear but did it pre-season. The head has never broke down in field. Happy so far The series II is just updated tips on snoots, different snoot adjustments{no wrenches needed} spring down pressure on snoot ends{same as gerinhoff} and redesigned main snoots to keep ears from building up ontop of snoots. We ran a drago two years ago and now have a 608c and would not give up my deere to go back to a drago

On the new 2013 model, they've really changed the way the 12/30 is driven, they've done away with the outside drive chains and went to a gearbox drive like the 20 inch row heads.

18c ditch system | What it all boils down to is: if you have a Deere combine , you stay with a Deere head, if you don't , take your pick. Drago should move there lawn blade forward.

And we did grease it religiously!

We ran an 8 row 30 for 4 years and never had a lick of trouble besides turning a snout under. Our biggest customer told me whoever takes over the harvesting if we quit needs to have our heads. (the other head was a FD70)

Capello makes a great head. There chopper is positioned right under the stalk rows so it chopps much more uniformly than the Drago. Plus it has a deck plate with an upward bevel in it that will have less field loss than any head on the market. They also run a heavy duty gathering chain that wears and wears. The 4 knife stalk roll does a great job of grabbing the stalk and feeding it through to the chopper. Capello also builds OEM heads for Lexion. It will wear very well and has a 2 year parts and labor warranty!
