Subject: Seed tenders again

ecsd

I know this gets beaten to death, but I am looking at a convey-all BTS 295 and a Parker 2620 seed tender. This will be my first tender. My local seed dealer let me use his patriot auger, plastic cup, for "free" for using his seed. I am sick of his seed and would like to get my own tender so I can use other brands of seed. The patriot tender seamed to crack a few beans so that is why I am looking at a conveyor tender. I know unverferth are NAT approved but I can't afford that so am looking for something cheaper. I have a local dealer that handles Parker and the convey-all look pretty good too. Any advise or comments good or bad are appreciated!!! TIA

We've had a Meridian for a few years now, and are currently shopping to add another.
One for seed, and keep the old one around for fertilizer.

It seems the buck was able to be stretched a bit further on the Meridian anyway
:)

I don't know of any Meridian dealers around here, so I don;t know anything about them. Thanks for the feed back!

So are the meridian tenders better than the convey-all?

Meridians are nice, but the new ones are a bit pricy. There's a ton of used ones on TractorHouse. Check in the Friesen section as well as they used to be Meridian until the name change. Here are the links:

J & M makes a good looking unit. My seed dealer just took delivery of one. Not likely to pull it around with your half ton pickup.

Sorry,
really don't have enough to put together a comparison for ya. We pulled ours home from Big Iron (in Fargo) one year.
Usually smokin' deals aren't had at big shows, but Dad must have lucked out.
The current one had been very good to us over the last few growing season, so we decided to give her another go, for the next one.

Good luck,
-Jack

The guys I work for are selling a used convey all. Real nice shape with a honda motor, bumper pull, I believe a 275 or is it a 295. If you are interested my email is good and I could take some pictures for you. They have updated to a unverferth but I think the convey all is just as nice just does not have all the bells and whistles. We are by Mason City IA. if that matters.

Central Minnesota
They might cost a little bit more, but call Schluaderaff Implement in Litchfield MN... Ask for John... 320-693-7277... I bought a brand new J&M from him last winter. And i love it. Lower profile than the unverferth, pulls nice, loads easy, unloads nice.. Not a single complaint about it other than not buying one sooner! You might have a J&M dealer a little closer to you, but if you don't, try them. They are always priced right.

Unverferth was the first to come out with the biggest best steel tender with a full 180 swing. Lots have copied, don't forget to check into an Unverferth.
They will allow the conveyor to fill the tender as well as unload.

The Par-Kan brand is also very nice. Self-loading as well . Standard hydraulic swing which is ver nice.

Where can you get a good deal on a Par Kan? They aren't price competive here in ND.

Since they are based out of IL and IN I would think the freight would be the only issue. Who are you comparing price to?

J&M currently has the biggest seed tender on the market (500 unit)
