SC MN | Definitely one of the top pre-emerge chemicals I use on beans. Any issues with giant ragweed--this will take care of them really well because of the First Rate. |

| Sonic @ 8oz has exactly the same products and use rates as Authority First @ 8 oz. This is good to know when mixing and matching chemicals to capture program money (ex. $1.50 rebate/acre when using Authority First with RU Powermax)...good info to know. |

King City, Mo | I used treflan and metribuztion early then followed the planter spraying sonic at 4.5oz....I sprayed the sonic opposite direction as I sprayed treflan so see if any skips. I had an issue where the boom whipped spraying treflan..you could see that spot this summer in rhe waterhemp.
I u use sonic you can't go back over the top with first rate.... |

SWOH | I've used Sonic or Authority First 4 or 5 years now and I've been satisfied with it. Usually does a pretty good job keeping marestail from getting started and really good on giant ragweed. I had a few issues with escapes last year but it was too dry to get it going I think. Sonic and Authority First are the exact same thing and I'll use whichever I can get. I've been using 3 oz in front of RR and 6 oz in front of non gmo, this is following 1.1 oz of Canopy EX in the fall. I throw the Sonic in with glyphosate and 24D early spring and usually get by with one post application of 32 or 44 oz of Powermax and sometimes post Flexstar on non gmo. Like Bugkiller said, if you use a high rate you can't use Firstrate post but low rate you can hit it once with Firstrate post. I used a little bit of Authority XL last year and was happy with it too, side by side passes with Sonic I couldn't tell any difference although Authority XL seemed to hold a little longer...but it was so dry I don't know if it was a good test. And I don't want to use Classic in the fall and spring on the same field. If Fierce is any good I'm thinking Canopy EX or Authority XL in the fall, Fierce in the spring, and save the Firstrate for post if I need it.

western mn | Worked PERECT 2012 was our first year using Sonic and this year we will try our hardest to get it on every acre(even if we have to stop the planter for a few hours). Cant remember the rate but we applied it pre-emerge. Nice kicker was it also made a pretty substantial difference on Vol. corn. |

| There is alot of confussion with Sonic and authority. Sonic is also as safe as any on high Ph and High organic matter. Authority MTZ you don't want to use on high Ph. |

we have fair amount of heavy clay with 4-6+ OM and it has worked well for about the past 4 years for us. We have actually used a little heavier dose at 4oz., but majority of our beans are non-RR. (Hattie-Nutley complex soil) We plan to hit every soy acre with Sonic again this year.
