Does anyone know anything about these models? Are they built in England like the Maxxums? Has anybody priced one? Looking for a good utility tractor with a cab on a budget. Thanks for any input.

Sumner GA, Located in southwest GA,
I was with you till you said cab, the cabs are Godawful unless they have had a recent update, rest of the tractor is pretty sound, Ford Transmission and rear end, Iveco motor, by the specs it is near bulletproof and the open cab models are well laid out, but they fubar'd the cab on them, badly. D series Deeres have a much better cab.

Thanks, the brochure on line doesn't have very good pictures of the cab so maybe that is why, lol. Hopefully a dealer nearby will get one and I can have a look.

i told the dealer i was sold til i went and looked at it. i wanted a new tractor on a tight budget and that is what it is. it was everything i needed until i saw where the hydraulic levers were. if you ever ran a tractor with a hand brake just imagine operating that on the the other side of the seat. i could not imagine bending over, reaching down under the seat a couple hundred times a day. if you are looking for a super simple (cheap) tractor that is one for you. i belive i could hook you up with one for $65000 brand new (only got one price and didn't argue because i became uninterested), but if you look at it the other way, i was told a decked out 140 is 102,000 so how important is all the other bs. if i could find a good economical way to move the hydraulic levers i might own one myself. if your only using it for a loader, put a joystick on it and don't worry about it.

also i don't think the transmission goes over 18 down the road.

+2 the hyd levers were a deal breaker for me also. Wife rakes about 800 acres of hay and I was not going to listen to her about those levers. Bought a deere E series instead. Think the red one was actually built a little heavier but those levers are something you gotta see for yourself. Suppossedly they are changing design.

priced one Saturday 69,500 w/loader, 62,500 w/o. I'm like you the levers were n the wrong place if were to do a lot of hydro work. All mechanical controls tho, liked that thought, no electronics controls to mess up.
