Pa/ny line
I am interested in buying a t 8 330 new holland. Would like to know how these tractors have performed for others !! Also looking at 290 case . We are all green here and been very happy with them until lately !! My dealer doesn't seem to take care of key people in their business!! Also how are the cab layout and controls compared to Deere ? Both Case and New Holland dealers are good!!!

I am also a Deere guy. I ran a brand new t8.300 a couple days this spring. Do not like the controls. Rides rougher than Deere. Shifts rougher than Deere. Seat less comfortable than Deere. Every once in a while an excruciating non stop beep went off in the cab and only way to make it go away was to shut tractor off and restart. Dealer had not been able to fix all spring even though they had been called on it. I guess if you are not the one who sits in it you may like it fine. But if you are.........I don't know what it would take for me to consider owning one. I would rather have a 10-15 year old Deere. I would recommend just keeping the Deere you have.

I like the case controls better. Both are nice tractors. New Hollands have longer wheelbase and ability to add factory front hitch options. Same motor so both use DEF for emissions which i feel is better than deeres EGR DPF set up. Would take either over spending 50k more for some green paint and a coffee mug.

Also.... With these new tractors coming out with new emissions equipment I think dealer support/customer service is going to become a bigger issue. More issues are going to require a tech coming out to fix them and more and more sensors means greater potential for a hiccup.

Everything is blue here except for the latest 335 case. I wish we would have went blue, longer wheelbase is the number one reason but a major reason. imo

15 years ago we had all blue tractors and now they are all green. We demoed a NH megacutter on a T8.330. Also spent some time on a 550 quad.

The T8 was really disappointing, did not like the controls at all. Feels like they were made for a CVT and then stuck on a powershift. Mowing with a powershift is awkward compared to a CVT. the case controls are nicer, but the hyd controls are different than a Deere, the paddles stick up or down for detents, seems like a small thing, but very annoying. I much prefer a R-series cab and controls over the red and blue ones.

I bought a T8.360 6 months ago trading an 8520 JD. Adblu much better than EGR IMO. Cab not as comfortable as JD. Gearshift not as smooth as JD. Machines are relatively light. Make sure its ballasted correctly. Joystick 'clutter' takes a while to get used to. Not sure I'd get cab suspension again (not driven one without but), but feel that it makes the 'kick' wosre as the shock reaches its inner and outer limits (bottoms out)... For the price difference couldn't justify a green one. Buy whichever machine is best value for you. Just 320 hours on mine but unless Deere doesn't smarten pricing, can't justify the green machine...

Oh yeh, the front end suspension is a joke...can't get better than the JD ILS. Dealer support for me is also a biggie. Value for $$ is the main factor in my decisions...

We have about 850 hrs on a T8.390 and have had no bother outside of electrical gremlins.

I'd be careful working full power in heavy stubble, we couldn't keep her clean enough mulching cotton stubble, and she'd smolder down at the bottom of the muffler and melt cables etc. She just seems to collect material everywhere. Clean down every hour vs every other day for an 8410. Needless to say mulcher went back on the Deere.

Pulls well. Replaced a Caseih 9380 quite well, albeit one that had 11000 hrs.

Quietest cab I've ever experienced with excellent air con. I Like the cab suspension except in powerhop turns. Shakes side to side so violently you have a job to stop.

Front axle suits us better than ILS for better crop clearance. It looks extremely strong, we carry a 1.5 ton NH3 gas tank out front with no trouble. hoping for less maintenance costs long term over ILS. Suspension compares favorably to our 8530.

Really like the 50km/hr gearbox. Drives like a car.

Dislike the oversized bonnet and fan noise at idle compared to Deere. Ambivalent about the joystick controls.

Thanks for all the replies!! I'm still rather confused on what to do !!! Love my 8330, 7930 and 9410r but sick of Deere having to come flush injectors on 79 and 83!! 9410 r has had it's share of engine problems with only 275 hrs of use last spring! We bought a 7230 combine this fall cause of all the problems we have with deeres motors !! Thank you EPA !!!

Very nice cab, controls are like cars they all take getting use to if they are different than what your use to. Ride is very good, most the time dealers demo a tractor they don't bother checking air pressure, will make any tractor ride rough, tractors are shipped with tires over inflated so they ride better on trailer. Have had one leak on a hydraulic lift cylinder on 3 point, really happy with the tractor.

SW Ontario

we have a t8300 and love it.  Just traded a t9390 on a t8390.  They could not get the t9 to run smooth for us.  Tried everything, cab had a continuous vibration in it. t8390 is coming with front suspension as our t8 doesnt have it.  But the t300 is our planter and drill tractor and the 390 will be working ground.  I find the transmissions really smooth .  Deluxe cab is a must.  Dont buy a tractor without it and dont buy one without cab suspension.

Try the NH out, it will be cheaper on fuel, quieter inside and out, with more room in the cab. It will make your dealer take notice and wake him up. We have one and they shift very smooth
