Sourthern WI | We have upgraded from this White 6100 4RN with 3 row splitter to a 6RN planter so we match planting rows to corn head rows. I'm trying to gauge what our 4RN planter is worth. It had 1400 acres on it when I got it and now the base unit has around 1550 acres. It's an exceptionally tight planter. We put on the v style closing wheels so they only have 150 acres on them. I replaced the brushes when I got it (didn't really need to) and have removed the seed disks after each spring so they still look like new. This planter had been only used with conventional till before we got it. I'd like to keep the yetter no till combo's but would sell it with the heavy duty down pressure springs and set back units if the buyer wanted. There are not a lot of planters like this out there, but I've found a few comparable 4 rows without splitters and unknown number of acres and they are around $10k (seems a touch high for just a base planter). In our area (Southern Wisconsin), a 5100 4 row that has been rebuilt a few times goes for $4-$5k. Let me know your thoughts. TIA.

I can't help you much on its value. I think that would be extremely dependent on location.
Around here, not much. But in an area with lots of smaller farms who knows. Looking through Tractor House it appears that small equipment holds pretty good value in Wisconsin.
It looks really sharp, you should be able to get the upper end of the market, whatever that is.
Are you selling the whole rig or just the 4 row? Why did you need the setbacks on the front rows?

Martinsville, Ohio | Me. too, if I needed it, it would be priceless to me. I really like your picture, it is beautiful with a new looking planter behind a reliable Oliver tractor. I figure any good row unit is worth $1000 per row but I try to buy cheaper than that. LOL Ed

Sourthern WI | Agree 100% that it's going to be very location dependent. And that is what makes it hard to put a price on. For the right guy, it's going to be great like it was for us. For our ground, the 6 row is going to be getting pretty big and dad and I are talking about putting row shut offs on it. It will work well and will be a nice upgrade, but it will be the limit of what we can run. We have one square piece of ground and everything else is points, banana's, and curves. I kinda hate to sell the thing because I know it's going to be almost impossible to find one this good ever again. The row setbacks are used with the coulter trash wiper combos. Because they stick so far out in front of the row unit, when it's in the ground and you hit a bump, the row cleaner will come up and hit the drive shaft. We found the wipers didn't work all that great on 15" rows as in high trash condtions, the rear units would throw a little trash back on the rows planted by the front units. Just had to slow down a bit.

SCIA | I sold a 5100 equipped like that a few years ago. I'm in Iowa and guys from Ohio came and bought it. Get the advertising out there they will come to you for one that nice.

Southern Middle Tennessee | I sold a White 5100 4 row with the 5 row splitter attatchment on the back for 3500.00. It was no where near as nice as your planter though. Yours looks brand new still. Very nice planter. Wouldn't have an idea what it would be worth. Most around our area would be wanting at least a six row if not a twelve. I'm sure somebody would kill for something like that. I had mine listed on craigslist and a guy bought it that farmed a few hundred miles from here. Good luck.

Ohio | Nice planter. I have been looking for one for my 82 year old dad. He would like to start planting on 15" rows but doesnt want anything too big. Located in Ohio. Please advise what is the best way to get in contact with you to talk about purchasing your planter. Jason
