Subject: Any one up on CaseIH JX/JXU and now the Farmall U and C series?

We have a JX100U loader tractor. Love it and has been very good to us. Used every day and should replace it. Now we find out that theJX is discontinued and the JX series which is now the Farmall C series is taking its place. The JX/C is and was a cheaper lighter less featured tractor and that takes place of the U that was much more featured with 24 sp. with a 2 sp. on the go shift with more hitch lift and a heavier tractor ? I don't even know if it has a wet clutch like the U did because the JX was just dry.

Very disgusted. Does anyone know if there is a newer version of the U coming and they are hoping the C will be good enough until then. Been red for 4 generations but if it was up to me I'd bail !!! Shame on CaseIH. Idiots running it. I give JD credit all of their people are from farms.

Dealer claims they are no more - just the ones on the ground and dealers won't give them up. Salesman is nothing to brag about. Us 40 year old sons are not included on any purchases but we have to run it and maintain it ya know.

So, they want you to go to the 100A series? The 95C series shows a hydraulic shuttle with 12x12 powershift. You can also get into the smallest end of the Maxxum series, but that might be overkill for what you are wanting.

yeah that sits too high to get into low barns. You would think if it is on the website it is available but I fear wishful thinking on my part. I told my dad that he is not going to be able to cut the muffler off to get in because that has all DPF crap in it and he says do it anyway but I'll bet there is ramifications for that.

The CaseIH website is always at least 1 year behind todays stories !!!!!

I have a 95C and it is a very low riding tractor with the straddle platform like a utility tractor should have. Mine also has the underslung exhaust but it is pre UREA emmissions.

40 years old and have no say? Are you employees or involved family farm interest? Just wondering, you don't have to answer.

Good Luck

40 year old son that never played sports, came home every weekend during college, helped mornings and nights and weekends plus a full time off farm job for 10 years - quit that really good job to help full time. Not an ounce of appreciation. I spent too much time here to leave now. I'll ride her out and maybe the next prison warden will not be so bad.

The thing I hate the most is myself. My Grandpa did the same thing to my Dad and my mind said at the time "we'll be lucky Dad would never do that to me."

And they wonder why I am grumpy once in a while.

To your surprise it made me feel good for some reason that you asked.

Have a great day.

sw Nebraska
Apologies that I do not have experience with the CIH line but am basically color blind for purchases like these, just give my thoughts on the similar Deere line.
I looked at the JX's U's and C's, almost bought a JX95 but was under hp'ed for my auger. If I got over 100 hp then you were in a much taller, less handy higher featured tractor. I bought a Deere 6140D to get the hp needed and low profile basic loader tractor. If you are using it everyday you might want more features. We have our autosteer/ ps big tractors, I just needed a modern day 4020 with a comfortable cab to do light loader work. mow, run an auger etc.. So far I am really enjoying this rig. I got one of the last 2012's so still tier 3, not as nice of cab layout as the 2013's but figure I will keep it a long time and didn't know if I wanted to deal with an early tier 4..........

Nova Scotia

So you can't buy a Farmall 105U now that is the newest version of the JX100U?

News to me. You can still build one on the CIH website

http://caseih.ironbuilder.com/Options/Farmall_105U_Tractor%28cl%29%28-%29Cab_/2978.aspx

The new "C" i.e. 75C are new platform, you can get a 12x12 power shuttle in them.

Correct. The JXU was replaced by the Farmall U which was the same thing and now you can't get that. Just can't believe they would drop the premium line and keep the throw away; it is 1300# lighter and 12 less gears and less hydraulic pump too.

Your salesman is misinformed, they just had online meetings and trainings regarding the Farmall line up of tractors, specifically the U and C. Currently the U is now available to order as a 115u or a 105u, but the 95u will not be available to order until later this year. These tractors are now Tier 4a, but since they are typically used as a utility tractor they do not use DEF, but use CEGR and a DPF, that is the strategy Case is using on all their under 100 hp tractors. The C series replaced the plain Farmall line (ie Farmall 95), but are a little nicer than those tractors even. These are also Tier 4a compliant. The new Farmall C series is different from the onlder Farmall C straddle series, the new series is a flat deck not straddle. The U series is only available with a Cab and 4wd now. The new C series is available in 2 or 4wd with a cab or ROPS. The new C series is nicer than the plain Farmall series and I think some people wil opt for that instead of the U personally.

Can you still buy it as the New Holland T5050 series?

Local guy has a brand new ROPS FWA/loader NH ones.

That line of tractors was a Fiat/Ford design years ago i.e. 6635.

Hey thanks. You must be in sales ??

Maybe we should try the C but it looks like it weighs about 1300# less which is a lot when you are going into a pile or have a heavy bucket. Do the C's have a wet clutch ?

They don't have the weights yet for the 105C yet, the 75C is 7,937, but the 105C has a larger engine so I imagine it will weigh more, but could be close to the same. The 3 point capacity looks to be 5,620lbs, less than the Us, but has an option for higher capacity. The U is the heavier tractor and is the higher end tractor, I just mentioned I will have some customers that buy the C instead of the U because it is a little lower price and has some options now that the old Farmalls didn't have, but the U will still sell for us also, probably more than the Cs still. The C line is very flexible with a lot of options. The standard transmission is a mechanical shuttle with a dry clutch, but can be upgraded to a power shuttle with a wet clutch.

I really apreciate this. So you think maybe the C is not as bad as it sounds. Dad is looking at a Kubota now as they are trying to push him that way. It is a better tractor - 24 speed and park is on the transmission. I just can't stomach something other than red IH. I am very dissapointed in CaseIH.

Are you sure on the weight - seems high. Just the base tractor with out the loader is what I was comparing weight on.

I looked at the most recent specs that case has given us on the new C and U tractors. The U weight is MFD and Cab weight and I believe that is for the C also. Case describes the U as the ultimate utility tractor and the Cs as deluxe. I'm not sure why you are saying you are disappointed in case, they are still making the tractor you want, The U tractor is going to continue to be made and they are even making a model with 10 more hp than they have in the past (115u). I'm not sure why your dealer thinks they discontinued them, but they updated them to be a Teir 4 tractor and a few other things like the headlights and the hood a little bit. The C can be ordered with a factory installed loader, the U can be ordered loader ready and have the loader installed at the dealer.

because I don't want a cab because we can't get in the barns with a cab. The bigger Farmall's or MX's I still call them you can get with out a cab so why not the U ?

I stopped and looked at a Farmall 95 today - had no letter on it to decipher. The drawbar is half as big as the U we have and the planetaries are behind the axle housing - just a weird cheap look to me.

Again I really appreciate you time helping me with this.

my new 75c cab 12x12 power shuttle easily gets into my 8 and 7 foot high horse barns. test drove both the equal horse power JD m and e series and they were cheap, noisy, badly shifting tractors in comparison. Also test drove the Kubota and that was a nice tractor but with less features and a less than stellar dealer behind it so went for the case. that little tractor has run on the fertilizer spreader, land roller, 16 foot hay bine, 25 foot pull type swather and of course on our Hesston small square baler. we also used the loader on it to unload our heavy seed and chemical pallets. As far as operator comfort and visibility is concerned it's been great. It has had a few annoying start up issues that it's gone back to the dealer for but I guess that's to be expected with every new tractor

Good to know. Ours has been on order and paid for even for almost a year. Claim tractor made in middle East and the warring over there keeps getting it pushed back.
