East central Indiana | Go to rootgrapple.com there heavy duty version is HEAVY duty. It would probably be good. We have one but we move trees and stumps with it, |

Nc Ks. | I rigged a bobcat root grapple to fit on my front-end tractor loader. The only thing I don't like about it is the teeth curve up a little bit out on the end. I would recommend getting one that the teeth are just flat on the bottom, like a loader bucket. Then it would slide under what ever you are trying to pick up. |

Central Ohio | I have a do not. Bought a MDS last year at this time and it failed the first time we used it. Still have not got any help from manufacturer. I will be watching this thread to see what to go with also. |

East central Indiana | We bought a MDS rock bucket,no grapple. It is now used for holding spare ditcher parts we sometimes cut plate off to use on projects. They are the biggest pieces of crap out there.

Central Minnesota | Have a bobcat root grapple on an S-250... best 3200 i ever spent! We have been tearing out trees from drainage ditches, and along fence lines and woods. It makes light work of everything. You would be surprised at how much you can do with it. When you drop those 12-20 inch trees in the ditch, as long as you can get a tine into it from the grapple, and squeeze it, you can usually pull that tree out of the ditch. I'm very impressed with mine. |

| I would think if you don't plan on raking much you would want one on the narrow side as they are so heavy (around 1000 lbs) you would be using a lot of your lifting power just on your grapple. Also if you were digging down for rocks or tree roots it's easier with something not so wide. |

Mid-Missouri | ANBO
We have a 115 hp Gehl 7810 with tracks on a 96" ANBO. We don't abuse equipment, but the grapple does get used ocassionally. It is as straight yet as day one.

Hodgenville KY | Castlen Welding in Maceo, ( near Owensboro) KY is where mine came from and I have yet to bend it up. I also have a MDS and am not impressed, use it only for cleaning up round bale hay feeding areas. |

Mid-Missouri | I am guessing this model, it has been almsost three years since purchase.

It works for some scrap metal...it just depends on what your referring to. It can pick up a car or water heater with ease, worn out combine header sickle sections would take awhile...!
I took it to Joplin MO to help clean up after Hurricane Katrina. Our church took several machines there and moved the houses to the street to be dealt with. The grapple worked great for tearing up sub-floors, moving foundation walls, and even the nasty refrigerators that had three month rotten food.

Osakis, MN | I bought one of the stout rock grapples on a consignment auction brand new for 1000 dollars, grubbed out two rock piles and put it through what I would insider a pretty good test so far. It has been a great buy for me so far. One of those skidloader attachments that you wonder how you ever got by without. |

| +1 on the ANBO I have one just like seedcleaner (only larger) on a Deere 624H payloader and have used it hard for digging out rocks, and pushing up trees and have yet to bend anything, even pickup (or should I say tried) to pick up some cottwoods so heavy the payloader could not lift them off the ground but had had them clamped in with the grabfork and pushed them to the pile and NEVER bent anything.
