| I recently bought a Case 1845c skid steer and i am wanting to change the engine and hydraulic oil. I heard somewhere for the hydraulic oil you do not use regular hydraulic oil you use engine oil and then add additives to it because of the hydro-stat. Is this true? Any advice on changing the oil or certain oils to use? Thanks |

Chillicothe, Missouri | Well we, run what the dealer calls for 10w-30 engine oil with an Aditive in the oil for the hydrostats. We have great luck with it, and My father works for a Case Const. equipment dealer.
as for the engine, we run 15w-40 diesel engine oil in the 3.9 Cummins |

Faunsdale, AL | We did it for a while, but when we purchased the second one at the end of the lease, we quit worrying about it and have used Chevron hy/trans fluid like we use in all the Deere tractors on the farm. I don't know exactly which fluid we're using, we purchase in bulk, so I don't see the label on it. |

Ohio | We use what's called 75 fluid in our gehl's which is a hy/trans fluid |

| have like 15 hydro units here and Case seems to have an idea that the metal in there hydro's are different
like to know what is better or worst for the metal
like JD used to run ATF in the 7700 combine
Komatsu runs engine oil in the hydraulics
