East central Iowa | Car needs new tires. The best deal I found is on Goodyear VIVA 2 tires. They are going on a Buick LeSabre 1995. We put on about 13000 miles a year. I plan on getting a newer car but will keep the Buick for trips to get stuff and general bad weather use. We'll only use the newer car for trips or going to friends homes.
The tires will be P205R70 15.
Thanks, and my email is in my profile |

Embarrass WI | They are price leader tires. Black, round, and hold air. If that is all you need, they should be fine.
I found a good deal on Michelins from Your Next Tire when I was looking for tires for my wife's Sentra. http://www.yournexttire.com/servlet/StoreFront
For your use, used tires from Craigslist would work, too. |

| From my personal experience with Good for a Year tires, you couldn't pay me enough to put Goodyears on anything. I've had bad luck with both Goodyear tractor and car tires. Goodyear Invicta were the most expensive tires I ever had on a car and by far the most worthless. $100 apiece back when el cheapo tires were $50 and they were in fact worse tires. Didn't get 20000 miles on them on gravel.
Had my 1978 Impala in to the big city tire/muffler shop this summer for exhaust work. Asked them about tires, specifically what they considered the best bang for the buck. They recommended Kumho Solus KR21 tires. I bought 215 75R-15 for $86 each. I thought that was a reasonable price for a 80K rated tire. I paid $100 a year ago for a 215 75R-14 locally.
Google online reviews and you will find both extremely positive and extremely negative feedback. Don't have 1000 miles on them yet and only dry pavement driving along with the 3 miles of my gravel driveway so I can't yet make an intelligent judgement pro or con. I hope these tires will get my Impala from 135K to 200K but I will be happy if they make 175K.

MT | Had a set of viva twos. Nothing about them stands out . They were ok for a cheap tire i think. No better no worse than other cheap tires. |

Calhoun County, IL | Had a set on my 2000 Dodge Stratus. Seemed to wear fairly decent but didn't do worth a darn in snow. Replaced them 2 years ago with Yokohama Avid Touring S and they are a lot better tire in bad weather than the Goodyears. Bought the Yokohama's from the local co-op and they were priced about the same as the Goodyears. Mine were P195/70R14. |
