| We have been in harvest here for well over a month(Arkansas) and it seems like I'm hearing a enormous amount of problems out of the new Deere combines especially s680's. Has anyone experienced this? |

| A brand new S680 just burnt here yesterday. Does that qualify? |
| |
| I think it definitely would--I've heard of that also --ive heard excessive grain loss a lot, computer issues, (2) engines locking up, grain tank windows blowing out and much more--the biggest complaint is what is coming out of back of machine? The Deere mechanics are even frustrated...

You have announced yourself as the proud Drago dealer, that seems to have trouble setting up heads for demo.
Now you are trying to put down the Deere combine. What is it all about? |

Crawfordsville, Arkansas | Might be one of the same you are talking about but one threw a rod in Hughes at Looneys when they were doing a predelivery on the new head. Never cut an acre. He bought 3 of them and I saw all three running today so I guess they got it fixed. Heard Deere was sending a complete engine. He wasn't real happy but I can guarantee without a doubt he will buy nothing but Deere if all three blew up this week. |

Itta Bena Mississippi | I haven't heard much about the S models around here, but that just means I haven't heard it.

| I can guarantee Mr. Looney will definitely make sure he gets taken care of....are all motor problems related?

Mississippi Delta | Tom, the main problem I've heard with them HERE is not getting them. I know of a couple of people that are a machine short.
| |
| Was the spark related to exhaust system? |

Just one of the three machines broke. He was running with two up until 2-3 days ago and got his third machine back. I haven't been up close to them or talked with him so I am not sure if they are 670 or 680 sized machines. They were walking on in rice today though. Only running a 25 foot draper so they should be flat out flying with them too.
One other 680 running here now and he says he likes it. Green to the core guy also who wouldn't bad mouth them no matter how bad it got. A neighbor of mine close by bought a 690 and just started cutting with it this week. Thinks they are bad to the bone with their 40 foot flex draper until I told them I have been running one that size for the past 3 years... Not green either btw. |

| Are you sure, as a salesman, that you want to go down this road? |

NE SD | Manifold not near filter, started chaff on top of engine gearcase dropped to chaff on inside of gullwing door panel dropped to ground, no damage |
| |
N.C. ND | A little under 225hrs. On ours and no problems at all, having some problems cleaning up canola. |
| |
Bottineau County | 160 hours thrashing with a 680. First hour blew half my beater belt. Was still running with it. Got out to take a wiz and saw it. Not a problem since. Only things to complain about is it drinks fuel and its the dirtiest machine i habe ever been around. Ductwork keeps fuel tank area clean and thats it. Piles of dust everywhere else. Could just be the year too but i doubt it. Builds up by rotor drive and in the sheilds. Quit drinking this year so the fridge was a waste of money haha. Capacity is where i figured it would be. Definitely not disappointed.

EC IL | you quit drinking, dont you ever get thirsty..... :) |

wisconsin | It dosent matter what color the paint is. I work on red equipment and evertime a new model comes out there is always a crap load of problems. I always tell people to wait till they have been on the market a year before you buy. It seems that manufacturers are not testing as much as they used to before bringing new equipment to market, and are using the first year buyers as the beta testers on the equipment IMO |

Slicker than a Yes album. | So, was that one of yours? Or the neighbors? Got a chance of rain here tonight, hope this fall isn't as dry as last fall. Never had any kind of flame on a combine (that I'm aware of), hope to continue that streak. |

N.W. Indiana | Yes, it's one of ours. Hydro line broke and blew oil onto the exhaust. |
