Bernard, IA | Everyone one around here had one for a couple years and hated them. We just traded ours off on a khun. The sitrex tipped all the time in a steep hill and and left a lot of hay in other places. M & w are the same. We really like our khun. And also I would recommend getting one wheel bigger than you need so you don't have to be spread out so far. Picks up hay better and no near as hard on teeth. |

Northern Kentucky | I have a 10 wheel V Sitrex I hate it I replace so many teeth and at least one ture every year. I started buying whole Kuhn rake wheels to replace the Sitrex ones then using the old teeth for replacements. When I run out of teeth the process starts again. |

South Dakota | I have a H & S 12 wheel v rake. It is not heavy even though it is called High capacity. It is not good at picking up short alfalfa and I should have a kicker. It is old and I was looking at a sitrex . THe dealer sells sitrex H &S and Rowse. Rowse are the heaviest. The sitrex has a double frame. It looks like a tough machine. I rake ditch hay with my v rake am tough on it. I end up replacing2 or 3 whole wheels every year. Kuhn I know nothing about except my 275 JD disk mower is really a Kuhn mower.

Ripley, Ontario Canada | I have used a Sitrex, not sure I would buy one, sometimes will not rake clean if hay has been rained on, or if you are raking against the way it was cut (1340 hesston swingframe mower) also seems to take a lot of teeth and the lockup mechanism is kind of flimsy. Also the kicker wheels are a bit of a joke, and slid on the frame and wouldn't lift til I welded them on. |
