Interested in getting 2 7230r's People that have used them, tell me the good, bad, everything. I've heard lots of hyd noise. ARE the cabs loud? How is the cab suspension? If they are bad we would go to 8235r's

Tighter? I thought the 7s short wheelbase would make it more nimble than the 8. -Mike

7R with cab suspension rides way better than a 8R.

Deere has some real issue with the 7r. I have a 7230r with 60 hours and it has had over 60 billable shop hour of work on the transmission. Have had pto problems and now almost ever time I start it, the stop warning come on for coolant over heating. Wonder what kind of problems this tractor will have in 5 years.

We have a 7215R and 2 7200Rs and they have a lot of problems. They dont auto trac right because of software issues, if you put your drink in any of the cup holders your drink will get really warm, when set on 30" rows we can hardly get turned around with a 12 row planter. I would love to know how this tractor ever made it through its prototype testing.

I know some jd techs that don't think much of the 7r tractors. Go with the 8r and wait for Deere to run through all the pips and engineering fixes on these 7r's.

How nimble is a 8R with 710R42's and 600R30s?

It will turn short with the front tires spaced out to 90". Just the hood goes on forever...

An 8R will turn shorter on 60" spacing. Tires set wide they will both turn short.

My 7230R has 450 hours and has never had any significant problems. A software update fixed a few annoyances. We love it, drives a lot better than the 7930.

Maybe it is partly the way they are setup or perhaps which transmission is installed. We like our 7230R, ils, cab suspension, 50" rubber, commandquad (26mph). Hydraulic noise is not an issue.

There are quite a few transmission options available on the 7230R (6 if you count all of the speed variations) - maybe we can find a pattern if posters indicate how there machines are equipped.

We have got a 7200R. We have put 450 hours on it and no problems, yet. Haven't had any hyd. noise issues. But some people's thresold of noise maybe different than others. LOL.

Actually the quieter cab might be making the hydraulics seem louder.
