Subject: JCB 1110T track skid steer pros/cons

South Bend, Indiana
I am looking at purchasing my first skid steer. We have 2 articulated wheel loaders but have always wanted a skid steer for all the attachments. I like the JCB 1110T units with full cab for the ease of entry. I have a bum knee and getting into my buddy's cat 247 is a struggle. Are the JCB's good. What to look for in a used unit. This would only be used here and there for light dirt work, picking up shuttles, etc. It has hand controls. I have read all the older posts on them but there are very few so I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks in advance for any input.

We have owned 1110T for 2 years and love it.  The machine is well built and we have done about everything imagineable and still no issues with the single arm.  One thing I'll highly recommend is the rear weight kit if it doesn't already have it.  The hydraulics are good and the pilot controls are real smooth.  The perkins engine will start when its 0 out without a starting aid. The track frames, rollers, and idlers have been no problem.  The only negative is if you need parts finding a dealer may be a little tough, but other than that you will love it.

I appreciate your response. I am wondering which options yours has or ones necessary to look for. 2 speed transmission, high flow hydraulics, foot throttle, etc. Is it as hard to change oil and starter as others has said?
