| Does anyone on here know where any good used 8 bottom plows are that can be bought reasonably |

West Texas | Had a friend looking for one and basically decided on a 7 because the only way he was getting an 8 was to order it. A few guys run them but break pins and can't pull them deep |

Lorenzo, tx | Jeremy Ive heard that an odd number bottom plow will do a better job than a even number of bottoms. Any truth to that? |

Huntley Montana | I bought a new 8 bottom last fall, ordered another 1 for next fall. The 3 problems I had with the 1st 1 are shear bolts don't last, (went through 300&), & the center hitch pin & rear gauge wheel are JUNK. Replaced the center pin with a grade 8 bolt & bought a wheel from GENSCO for the rear. Have a idea for the shear bolts to grind a little where the bolt goes through to get them to be "more over center" to make them harder to shear..
Was supprised on how easy the 8410 pulled the 8 bottom. I farm every thing from blow sand to some gumbo that weighs 50 oz to the pound. |

West Texas | 6 bottoms seem to be a little more difficult with a guidance, but it can be done. 7 bottoms are fairly easy and I'm told 8 bottoms are easyto set using guidance. But I've put lots of time in on a 965 6 bottom and it would level and be straight as a string. |
