I have been looking for a wide front end for my Farmall M. I located one from a Farmall 460. Does anyone know if this will fit my M? Mike

Long Island NY | It will definitely be different than a stock front end I don't knownfor sure but do t think it will work

west central Iowa | I think it will fit except for the bracket that bolts to the frame rails and goes down to the ball and socket joint at the back end of the wide front. A&I used to make a bracket that would work for your application.

Mid Michigan | There are several on ebay right now. I was just looking at M parts the other day and noticed them on there. This one is in Indiana and they want $585 dollars buy it now and it comes with tires, wheels, and the hubs in the picture. Dave, is the front end in the picture a SpeeCo? Definitely not stock. SpeeCo looks quite similar to a Schwartz front except SpeeCo used modern 6 bolt wheels and hubs. The Schwartz front used the original OEM cast hubs and wheels. That pretty much limited tire size to 6.00 or 6.50-16. I can remember not so many years ago complete new front ends were priced at $600. Neighbor has both now since he bought my Super M with 6.00-16 on a Schwartz front. He runs 9.5L-15 implement tires on his SpeeCo front. One very wet year stacking hay he ran the 10.00-16 fronts from my Ford tractor on the M. Sure helped on flotation. Edited by John SD 8/17/2011 02:44

NW OK | Do you have a narrow front end that you would want to trade? i have a wide front on mine and would like to go to the narrow.

Not many M's around here anymore, and certainly not with narrow fronts as most were used for loader tractors. I'd think there would be a lot of narrow front M's in the corn belt area.
